SIZE

Inside Diameter is 2.7", and 2-1/2" NPSH female side will only connect to a male 2-1/2" NPSH

If you need 2-1/2" NST/ NH nozzle, this 2-1/2" NPSH nozzle will be too small for your hose. Please check the thread of your hose before purchasing this item.

NH / NST: The most common thread type in use by fire departments today is NST or National Standard Thread. NST also goes by the initials NH or National Hose. It can even be referred to as NHT or National Hose Thread. But NST or NH is more common these days. NH = NST.

NPSH: National Pipe Straight Hose (NPSH) or Iron Pipe Thread (IPT) has the same threads per inch (TPI) as National Pipe Tapered (NPT), but the thread does not taper. NPSH is a straight thread and seals by a gasket in the female coupling which allows for a swivel, just like NH / NST, which make both ideal for hose couplings. Warning - It will NOT thread into a female NPT pipe. For example, a male NPSH coupling will NOT thread into a female metal or pvc pipe.

Wildfires near where I live has struck fear into everyone. I rushed to set up a pump system that could draw water from a pool. I needed a 2 inch nozzle quickly and this was delivered overnight, the only one I could get that fast, and the price was far less than many other 2 inch nozzles that were available. This nozzle seems sturdy, it’s very solid feeling and has weight to it. It’s described as being brass, and that appears to be true. It fits perfectly on my 2 inch discharge hose and although I haven’t run water through it yet, I anticipate that it will work well. I will update this review if it doesn’t.

Nozzles look ok but the threads are not right to screw on a 1-1/2” fire hose. I ordered twice thinking that is was just an issue with the first order none of the four nozzles would. It was a waste of time.

I purchased this nozzle to use on a firehose-type discharge hose I bought, to irrigate my orchard. It seems well built, especially for the price and being plastic. However, I was not aware that the threads, while being 1 1/2", are not NPF size (they are coarser) - and so they won't fit on a discharge hose with regular threads (like most plumbing at the hardware store). I have ordered a brass adapter from ACE; but now this nozzle will more than double in price. Make sure you get a nozzle with NPF threads if that's what your hose has, or get a hose with the coarser firehose threading.

This nozzle helped save several homes and other buildings. Without it we couldn’t of maintained a safe distance and got the water sprayed out where it needed to be when the forest fires came in.

We regularly use a 1-1/2" fire hose to do clean-outs after pumping concrete. This nozzle is perfect for the job as the price is best and it is reasonably durable. While not as durable as brass, it is enough to get the job done. In our experience, the brass equivalent will break at the threaded collar as will the plastic when either of them are repeatedly dropped to the cement or asphalt. (due entirely to the knuckleheads not being more careful). The much lower price makes this the best choice. We bought 4 of them and could not be happier.

A little stiff adjusting the flow pattern, hopefully will loosen up over time.

I bought two of these for my home fire suppression system. I hooked it to a 70 psi fire hydrant and it worked good. It adjusted from a wide spray to a straight stream. The stream spray was not as extremely concentrated but it will work fine for my use.
