The kick plate arrived. I unpackaged it and put it at the bottom of our front door. That's ALL there was to it! Works like a champ and looks GREAT.

This really pops on our black steel front door with brass trim! It was easy to put on. So far, it is not moving around with normal use of the door. Don't forget to take the plastic film off after putting it in place. Ours was packaged well and (after the plastic film was off) had no imperfections.

Was very hopeful about this kick plate until I went to install it on my newly painted front door, and noticed that a corner was crumpled. Hope I have better luck with my replacement. These need to be packed a better way, but maybe the company loves dealing with returns. (The customers do not!)Yes, it’s a small crumple, but one that ruins the overall look, and I paid to have a perfect product.Edited to add: replacement product still had a small bend in one corner! Not as bad as the first one, but did not want to risk another exchange and perhaps get a product damaged worse than the first 2. How about using some protection on the corners. Something like when your order a picture in a frame, or a mirror with corners—these typically come with triangles that fit over each corner to protect them from damage in shipping. Or even having placed in a styrofoam recessed protector would cut down immensely on returns and customer dissatisfaction. I still am not 100% satisfied due to seeing the bend on close inspection. But from a distance it’s hard to tell.

The wheels of my walker were marring the bottom of the metal door from my garage to my house. Painting would have covered the problem, but not solved it. This magnetic kick plate looks much better. The only question is how damaged will it eventually look after my walker's been hitting it for several months. I also found the price a bit high, but since it was precisely what I wanted because I didn't want the kind that's installed by drilling screw holes, I just bit the bullet and paid it.

We had a metal door that had some areas at the bottom (on the inside) that were developing rust. Other than taking the whole door down and sanding it, we thought we could cover it up with a brass kick plate. All the other vendors had a product that had many holes to attach it to the door, which meant a LOT of drilling. Ugh. Found this one that is magnetic and voila, attaches in seconds and looks awesome. Great product!!!

A bit pricy but not having to screw holes in my new front door made it worth it. Installs in seconds and easy to reposition if needed. Bright and shiny brass color looks nice on my dark green door. Graded it down a little because one corner was sightly bent when it arrived, but I easily bent it back with pliers. They need to provide better corner protection when packaging.
