Was looking for some sewing needles for different projects and needed something a little more sturdy when working with suede or leather. I am trying to sew a suede type patch on a boot that the dog chewed up and then sew a type of heavy ribbon as decorative to cover up the repair. The problem with needles that cut is it leaves a nice big whole that you cant seem to blend in well as I tested with some other needles. I tested out with this one and was able to use the suede patch on the shoe with a heavy thread without noticing a huge hole (partly because the thread did great coving the whole). I need the boot to not fall apart hence the heavier thread. These needles are sturdy enough to do the job pushing the thread through and didn't break. For another project I was working on also with heavy suede, the needles were a bit to thick for the beading I was adding so had to find a different way to adhere. On the second one I did a beaded design and simple used the heavy needle as a loop to attach to shoe instead of trying to thread the beads to shoe with it. I have a purse Im going to do this to next when Im finished with trying to match up the other shoe.

These are exactly as shown, big, blunt tip darning needles with large eyes, and a clear storage tube. Came packaged inside two plastic bags for some shipping protection. Great for yarn work.
