This review is for the HARFINGTON 304 Stainless Steel Bore Brush 8mm Dia 4" Long Cleaning Twisted Wire Brush with Handle 1/4" Hex Shank for Tubes, Ports, Bearings.I wanted the HARFINGTON brush for a specific purpose: to clean a deep battery compartment in which the battery had leaked and corroded. Unfortunately the HARFINGTON did not work for the application, because the bristles are only on the sides, not the tip.Otherwise, the HARFINGTON seems well made.

Ne perd pas ses brins. Utilisé plus d'une fois pour un travail moyen (nettoyage de grille d'un barbecue).

Brushes loose their temper and wear quickly. Even at 8 mm, cleaning 7.62 case neck, after approximately 20 cases, they have no drag and require repeated passes to clean. After about 50 they do nothing, and the bristles fall out. Don't bother.Update: Company was a standup operation, and fully refunded my purchase. Might be inclined to give them another try. In any operation, an occasional fail is likely. Still not thrilled with not knowing they were coming from China. Undecided.

Nicely packed bristles. Good and stiff. Super handy that it is attached to a hex shank. Someone did an oil change on my wife’s car and didn’t put the dipstick in all the way. Moisture got past the o-ring resulting in rust inside of the tube. The O-ring of the dipstick would not fit into the tube anymore. I put the brush in my cordless drill, greased the brush and stroked it in and out a few times. The grease trapped the rust flakes preventing them from falling into the oil pan. I greased up another one and gave it a few more strokes. Went in with a third clean brush to get the excess grease out and polish it. Now the dipstick glides in smoothly all the way to the hilt.

Cleaning threads on a pipe on a drill is what i use them for. But they bundle up and lose strands after one use.
