I saw several reviews that questioned authenticity but I can attest that this is a genuine Harris BiPod. Installation was easy and very secure attached to my rifle's sling swivel (CZ 457). I separately purchased the MIM S Lock recommended by other reviewers and will use it but honestly do not think it is needed. The knurled tensioning knob that it is designed to replace is not difficult to manipulate and does a good job for its intended purpose. The bipod is lightweight, strong, and very stable. This is a good value and I am well satisfied with my purchase. Recommended.

Harris bipod have been around for along time and been proven. This bipod is an excellent buy for most applications where a bipod is needed. Sturdy, lightweight enough and priced right. They’re higher quality bipods out there but they are 3x the price, and for most people’s needs I believe a Harris would suit them very well. This S-BRM model has the swivel and notched legs which make it my favorite. It’s easy to deploy the legs and with a press of a button you can extend the legs.My only complaint would have to be the screw knob to tighten the swivel feature is to difficult to tighten...but there are companies that make a solution to this problem. All in all I don’t know if a better bipod in this price range.

I love this bipod! It went on my Colt 901-16S (.308). Was on the fence for a long time over the 6-9 or 9-11. Super glad I went with the 6-9 because with the picatinny rail adapter (American Defense) the 9-11 would have been far too high when shooting prone. Like many people have said, I too had a hard time getting enough torque on the swivel lock to keep the rifle from canting, but I attribute that to the higher than normal CG from the bipod rail adapter and the scope riser. I bought an Alpha-Bravo short angled swivel lock, made out of zinc, from Midway ($15). If I had this bipod on a bolt action I think it would be fine; I might try on my 7mag to see. Anyway, the height of this 6-9 is more than enough to clear my 20 round magazines by ~1", but my 25 round magazines are a little too tall to keep from clearing the ground.Overall this is an amazing American made bipod at a very reasonable price, considering all the alternatives. It's not the most expensive, by a long shot, but it's also not the cheapest. In the end I'll always pay more for a product made in the USA!

Shipping was a day early so bonus for starters.. The pod is nice it mounted up super easy not a single problem. Works like it should. I like being able to tighten up the pod so it won't tilt left/right unless I want it to but in the field your never gonna find a flat surface to shoot from so its a great feature to have. The legs are made of a composite type plastic, it seems strong enough but makes me think one day I'll be getting up from the prone and maybe slip on something and one of the legs will just snap especially if its really cold I could see the legs getting quite brittle if cold enough. If it were made of metal you'd add weight so plastic works just not a good fit for a combat rifle such like my ol m16 from my Marine Corps days. That gun took some abuse overseas and this pod would be hard pressed to stand up to the punishment. All in all 4 stars will do it for me. Great product for a hunting rifle or paper puncher. Functionality is right on, workmanship is great, design works well plus you can purchase many different mounting accessories for different weapons.

Love this bipod ... had hard time deciding on how long the legs should be - do I only shoot from the bench or do I get a little longer legs to shoot from sitting position???? The Harris bipod connected (installed) very easily - looks and feels very strong & durable. Harris bipod installs by pinch-gripping the sling nipple on the rifle stock, (no drilling or complex mounting procedures). Can be simply and temporarily removed by thumb-wheel adjustment screw and sling nipple-pinch holder (30 seconds - on/off ... wouldn't do this often). Adds a bit of weight to the front-end of the rifle - but still is very nice. Have the Harris bipod mounted to a Marlin .308 with the heavy 26" barrel - does not jump to the left or right when fired. No noticeable jump or lift from ground or bench, straight back recoil & recovery – tight shot group! If you have a rail system (picitinny or weaver) on the bottom of your military style rifle you may wish to concider a Rota-pod adapter as well. No rail system - no adapter required!
