Not much of a model very limited parts. Was painted and put together in less then 3 hrs. It is cool to look at though. For the advanced builder i wouldnt recommend this model

Box has been opened and shows water stains. Not sure if it is all there. I may try returning.

Great quality and fun. Instructions a little difficult but if you’re an experienced person it’s a great model. Turned out great

Good amount of detail with a few building options. Instructions are in Japanese and minimal at best. I would only recommend this model for advanced builders or someone working with an advanced builder to help them. Even with the lack of good instructions I gave this 5 stars because it is such a great kit

... detail is great, the doors are etched enough they can be removed, hinged and reinstalled. Directions are rather vague for a first time builder. The nose can be easily razor knifed off and hinged, body lines are defined enough that even a poor painter like me can two tone ...I personally think the maker asks too much $$$ for this kit, but they must know the currently have the best of the best, so they get their full load of shekels on each kit.

This is a really good model with very nice detail. It went together well and was fun to put together. Now, I have to say that when I put together a model, what I call "fun" means that there is no frustration when getting poorly molded parts to fit. Building scale models is supposed to be therapeutic - NOT frustrating. This kit was VERY relaxing and therapeutic for me. I really enjoyed it.I have given it only four stars because this model is a curbside. This means that there is no engine compartment and no engine to go in the engine compartment that doesn't exist anyway. So for me, building the engine and super detailing the compartment with things such as the battery, cable, radiator hoses (which the VW wouldn't have anyway) distributor to spark plug wiring and fuel lines etc, are all parts of model building that I really enjoy. Therefore, I was denied this aspect of the build. It's ok, though because this model was on my display shelf in record time and I realized that the quick build has its own intrinsic value.
