These Hatchimals were a huge hit in our home! You place one of the five included shells in the middle portion, pour in hot water, and watch the water change colour into a neon shade that hints at which character is inside. Eventually, the top of the shell disintegrates, revealing the mystery character. The cracking that takes place during disintegration truly closely mimicked the hatching of a real egg! After hatching all five, our little one had fun accessorizing with the different wings and little toys that came with it. It was definitely a different experience than other mystery or blind box/package toys that we've picked up for them and turned it into more of an experiential process, which makes it all feel more worthwhile.

Cute little twist on traditional Hatchimals toys - you soak the included baby bottle in water and then "feed" the egg at the marked nozzle to get them to "grow" and eventually hatch. They hatch into 3 additional figurines, to complement the 2 that are included already hatched. Also included are a pair of little wings for each figurine. It's a fun idea but the novelty ends once you've gone through the three included eggs. At its current price point, it just seems a bit much for what ends up being a literal kids' handful of teeny tiny toys.

These Hatchimals were such a fun set to play with! It’s so neat to see them come out of the shelves when you put them in hot water. They release really vibrant colors, but the dye did seem to be a bit strong so I would recommend doing it on top of something that you don’t mind getting dirty. This that comes with five different eggs to hatch, and a ton of accessories for the creatures inside. The parts are quite small so I wouldn’t recommend for anyone under 3. The creatures are so cute, they have provided endless hours of play. The egg carton is also really well made, it has nice designs along the side and is made of a solid, sturdy plastic that you can store the creatures in after hatching it makes it easy to transport them if you want to bring them in the car.

My grand daughter got some Hatchimals for christmas and she was trying to explain to me what they were, I had no sweet clue what she was talking about but I agreed with everything she said. Then I see this set and I snapped it up. When the grand daughter was around for a visit last week, I produced this Hatchimals kit and lets just say, they were a hit.I didn't know what was supposed to happen but I was soon just as enthralled as my grand daughter was.The most important things to note are that you must use hot water in order for the eggs to hatch and that there are small pieces. Also, there is brightly coloured dye in each egg, something to keep in mind as it could stain.Each package contains 5 eggs to hatch, all the eggs are random and there are some accessories included.This is a fun little toy for gifting. Would make great presents.

Fun and cute!We received this one as a birthday gift this past weekend. The experience is so unique and colorful. My little ones had so much fun watching the colors and the Hatchimals come out.And you get 5 inside the kit! Great present.Best of all it's just water play so they can do it on their own and the cleanup is easy :)
