I’m still giving them 4 stars despite not working on my mantle, because they do in-fact work really well on the right kind of mounding/trim. I put them on my countertop to check fitment on a boxy surface and the grip was great, if I had another place to hang them, I definitely would.I have trouble with my finding stocking holders for my mantle, there is a lot of rounded/built-up trim on the underside, that doesn’t give these anywhere to grip properly. The clip immediately slid off the bottom rounded trim and flung itselft across the room. These don’t work for my mantle, but if you have a traditional 1.5-2 inch ledge they’ll work great!

These clip stocking holders didn’t work for my mantel. While they are adjustable up to 3.5 inches and technically fit, they couldn’t support any weight once adjusted. However, they worked very well on my kitchen bar. The issue seems to be that the clip struggles to hold weight when extended. Although the online description states they are made of metal, they feel more pliable than expected. Nonetheless, they perform excellently on thinner surfaces.

We don’t have a mantel on our faux rock chimney, so I couldn’t figure out how to hang stockings. Until I found these clips! Brilliant! They fit right over the rock edge and hold the stockings securely! The grip seems to be strong! I don’t know how much weight they will hold yet, but it feels like they could withstand a pound or two. I think they would work great on a mantle. They open pretty wide, but the grip is tight because they spring back to their original shape.

Lovely gold color that is not gaudy. These holders fit the mantel perfectly, which is a 1.5 inch length.

Top quality( I got black) with a nice hefty weight. I just didn’t measure my mantle. So they are too small( my mantle is four inches). I’m keeping them though because they work for another area in my house!!

I have bought every stocking holder out there on the market from $5 to $110 everyone has gone back just for a basic stocking two of them and a wreathThese Rock , they immediately held tight with wreath, stockings an lights.
