Clean up the two threaded interfaces that need to be sealed.
Wrap the end of the Teflon tape around the internal thread interface. NOTE: The winding direction should be consistent with the direction of rotation of the two interfaces.
Screw the external thread interface to the internal thread interface wrapped with tape and tighten it.
Seals well on different pipes.

This Teflon tape is good quality. 10 rolls for 8 dollars and some change is a great price. I used some of my rolls on the hydraulic hose on my motor grader. I needed 24 new hoses, and this was just what I needed. I did not have any leaked, so it is very good.

I find this tangles within the roll far too easy. Then I have to rip loads off and start the roll again, not really great value for money. Won’t last very long at all

Why is it that the plumbing always has an issue late on Sunday when everything is closed! We’ve learned that lesson more then once so we always keep a plumbing repair kit on hand and this is a whole lot of Teflon tape for that kit. It’s more then I will ever use probably, but I’m happy knowing it’s there when the next emergency happens. I already used it on our new utility sink faucet and it works like it should. Now I have plenty to share when the neighbors come. Looking for some. Good value and product.

This is 1/2 inch wide Teflon tape. A lot of it. It goes on easily, removes easily if need be, and makes a good, watertight seal. I have asked many professionals how many times to wrap threads with tape like this prior to installing the fitting. Two answers occur most often. Three wraps and seven wraps. I usually do three myself and I've never had a problem. So, if your looking for guidance, give three wraps a try.

Plumber's tape, also known as Teflon tape, is one thing I learned to use early in the Covid experience. You see, I fixed my outdoor spigot and swapped on my kitchen and bathroom faucets. A lot of us have been busy on home projects, and in addition to getting the right plumber's tools, one usually needs plumber's tape to make sure a job doesn't have to be revisited soon.But the main thing is this is an outstanding deal, a great deal of plumber's tape. In fact, I used the one plumber's tape I originally purchased too sparingly since I had only one roll. Now I have 10 rolls and will use more of it next time.What I learned using this tape: wrap it in the direction of tightening the threading (you only need to make this mistake once, like I did), make far more turns around the threading than an amateur would think necessary, and just break it off - you don't have to scissor it. I recommend these 10 rolls for those who have more than casual use.

Have you ever struggled with cheap Teflon tape that tears when you stretch it or wrap it around threads? This tape doesn’t do that. I’ve got several projects lined up that require good Teflon tape, including the replacement of a couple of faucets and the rebuild of a high pressure air rifle, and this stuff looks like it’ll work well in both applications.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Amazon Vine Program. Seller Brand: HAUTMEC lists this as "HAUTMEC 10 Rolls PTFE Sealant Tape for Plumbers Plumbing(White, 1/2 by 520") HT0123-ST". This is an item I use for all plumbing connections that involve screw together fittings for water. For example: washer hoses, hot water heater piping, sink connections, pressure washer hose/gun screw thread connections, etc.Picture 1 shows the pack of 10 rolls. Pictures 2 to 4 are examples of use. The arrow is the direction of wrapping and that the brass nut will screw on. It is important to wrap the very thin tape in the direction the nut being screwed on will be turning. This will almost always be clockwise from the threaded end. Two or at most 3 layers of wrapped PTFE tape applied with a bit of tension to stretch it into the threads works best - then it can be cut or pulled to break which will leave a ragged edge. Screw together the pieces and a good seal that doesn't leak will result.TIP: DON'T do as in picture 6 which has the PTFE tape overlapping the end and water path. This might lead to pieces of PTFE in your water system or cause a plugged orifice as on a pressure washer connection. The tape is only for the threaded part of a connection.TIP: For the best seal don't try reusing tape once a screwed on connection has been made - if unscrewed, remove the old sealant tape and apply fresh.This is a great value, enough for years of use. Highly Recommended!
