  • Simple to install on standard faucets
  • Easy rotation for on/off operation
  • Inverted water flow pattern for superior eye protection

Haws Axion eye POD faucet mounted eyewash (patent pending). Constructed of stainless steel with a polished finish, the unit shall feature inverted directional laminar flow which achieves zero vertical velocity supplied by an integral 0.9 gpm (3.4 liter) flow control. The faucet outlet flows at 0.5 gpm (1.9 liter). The standard faucet connection is 55/64-27 stainless steel female thread, along with four additional aerators adapting this size to; 15/16-27 male, 13/16-27 male, 3/8-16 male and 13/16-24 female. An optional 1 gpm (3.8 liter) laminar flow faucet outlet is also supplied. A thermostatic shutoff is used for water temperatures over 100 degree F. Operating pressure; 30-90 psi. Incorporates the revolutionary inverted flow design that is the only product on the market that provides a Medically Superior Response consistent with all EMT, emergency room and doctors' office protocols by sweeping contaminants away from the vulnerable nasal cavity. Traditional eyewashes irrigate from the outside edge of the eye back toward the nose, where contaminants can then be flushed into the nasal cavity through the lacrimal punctum, nature's ocular cavity drain. The symmetrical 'pod' look of the eyewash is constructed of stainless steel and given a polished finish for a durable, aesthetically pleasing piece of emergency equipment that can be used for industrial situations and doctors offices alike. The stainless steel construction is rugged enough for any industrial application, and the polished surface is cosmetically suited for any professional office setting. Easy one motion rotation (in either direction) to activate/deactivate the use of the unit. Where safety is of the utmost importance and the eyes of any person may be exposed to injurious or corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick flushing and cleansing of the eyes be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.

We use these at work and I like the ease of use if needed. I started looking but they were expensive. Then I found this one that said good condition but used. It was a great price and I took a gamble. It arrived promptly, I opened the Amazon package and the product box was discolored but sealed so it made me apprehensive on opening. I opened the package and it was what appears to be a brand new eyewash. All the parts and directions are there and I am very happy with my purchase.

Misadvertising -this does NOT meet OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals and the need for emergency equipment. OSHA states that equipment must activate with a single action (this requires user to turn on faucet, then turn the head on the device). Not to mention flow and temperature control, regardless of thermostatic protection, which then renders the eyewash off if the temperature is not correct - where as a inline mixing valve regulates the temperature inline and will not shut off.I have questions around whether this meets correct flow (gallons/minute requirements) set forth in ANSI as well -now, all that said - if you just need this for particles and or blood/body fluids (which is not 'required' by osha) then go for it -good luck -

We are a Rural Health CLinic and needed to be compliant with an OSHA approved eyewash station. We had just did a complete remodel and to install the traditional eyewash station we were going to have to tear up concrete floors that had just had new tile placed. I researched everywhere and found that this little device is OSHA-ANSI approved and I was able to install it myself in about 2 minutes.
