They are translucent - not everyone likes translucent for their dice, as opaque dice have surfaces that are easier to read. But they really look cool and catch the light nicely. If you like translucent dice, they’re a good choice.The sharp edges mean that each face is the exact, same shape, so there’s no anomalies on the surface to cause any one number to appear more or less frequently when rolled. But it also means that some of the dice - in particular the d4, d6, d8, d10 and d% - have really pointy corners. These are SHARP and not meant to be played with, in the sense that you can tear through a cloth bag with them or puncture your skin. Use the original box or some similar hard-sided, padded box for storage. When rolling, soft surfaces like a rolling tray or a close-up pad are best to preserve those edges and points and insure fair, consistently random rolls every time.

Although I don't actually play D&D anymore, I still love collecting some of the newer sets of dice, especially the sharp-edge ones that are beautifully made, just to have as collectibles. I love the translucent golden colour of these (almost look like actual gemstones like Topaz, or yellow diamonds!) & they also came in a nice protective little slide-open case as well that I can leave open for display. Recommended!

First and best, these are some gorgeous dice. People have been enamored with the metal shipping tin, it's nice, but not convenient for me, so these babies will be going into the bag with the other dice (unless they state their way through the cloth. They *are* sharp!)On the downside, Looking at the photos given, I assumed that the gold flecks would be throughout the dice. Not true. The gold only shows up on the top side of the dice (the 20 on the d20, the six on the d6, the eight on the d8) so that's an interesting way of showing a "critical". Except, for some strange reason, on the percentile die, the gold specks are on the 80 instead of the 90 or 00. Strange decision. It's not awful, just unexpected, I thought I would see a lot more gold in them.The dice are a bit larger than the usual ones (shown on a PHB for scale). This is good and bad. They take up a lot of space, but if they were smaller, the details would be lost. This larger size also makes them easier to read. If you've been sitting behind the screen for more than a few versions of the game, you probably are over squinting to see the little dice.As noted in the description, they have sharp edges. Be careful of the D4, it's practically a weapon. Between size and sharpness of tip, TSA might confiscate it from you ;-)

The dice are great for DnD, the resin on the inside doesn't sit directly in the middle but that's okay

The quality of the dice are amazing. It’s super lightweight and extremely balanced with a beautiful blend of colors to make it look like fire in the light which suits my character perfect. Amazing for what I paid, I use it all the time.
