Great kick shield for my Thai, push, snap and knees. My work out partner who outweighs me by 100 pounds can kick it and it absorbs the energy well. Its a kick shield and not really meant for punching.Yes, the handles are a little small, but its a Japanese company so that should be expected.

The punching pad arrived as used and damaged . Paid for brand new pad but used one or returned item being repackaged, is sent over. Don’t waste your money. Heavily indented punching foam with clear indents of knuckles . Tried to contact the seller but only excuses .

I have been in martial arts for 30 yrs: used all sorts of pads. This one is too firm/hard unless you are muay thai/kick boxing. I had ordered to help some kids train, didn't even take it out of package it was so hard. Go for a softer pad unless you are looking for something really firm.

I’ve purchased other equipment from Hayabusa which was properly padded for training and quality however this shield feels like they skipped on quality. There are varying qualities of padding toughness with training equipment and I’ve tried kick shields from other manufacturers. I have to say that this feels like the cheapest shield I’ve ever used. It is unusable and feels like it is filled with cardboard. I expected better from this brand. This kick shield does not feel like quality nor properly padded to be kicking for training nor do I expect it to last long. I recommend you skip this kick shield and consider others instead. If you want to feel what this shield feels like grab your flattened cardboard boxes for recycling, wrap them together and kick that to save yourself money because that’s what this shield feels like.

The pad feels great to kick plenty of cushion but the 2 handles ar small really can’t get ur hands threw them to hold pad for kicks . Way over price !!
