It def locks up more when it’s hot in traffic. It chills out and loosens up on the highway. Exactly the way it should work. Noticeable difference in AC performance in the desert. Very happy

Installed on a 2002 Chevy Suburban with the 8.1l big block. Fit perfectly and was an easy install. Easiest way to remove the old fan clutch is to use an air hammer. I then used a strap wrench wapped around the water pump pulley to tighten the Hayden clutch on. Doesn't take much torque, use a bit of Blue loctite.

So far I haven't experienced any issues. It definitely moves significantly more air than my old oem fan clutch. My AC wasn't very cold with the old fan clutch and now it seems back to normal.This is on a '03 Suburban 2500 4x4 with a 8.1L engine that tows our '28 travel trailer. Sometimes in temperatures above 100 and the engine temperature barely gets higher than the 180 degree t-stat I installed.

This clutch fan failed after only 2 weeks. This failure caused the engine to overheat, which caused my radiator to fail. You get what you pay for.

This fan clutch failed 1 year and 4 months after I bought it. I only put about eight thousand miles on it before it started leaking and then would not unlock.

this is a severe duty fan clutch and it fit my yukon xl 8.1 liter perfectly and the shipping was very fast!
