The one I received was faulty. Flashers came on automatically every time I started the car.

I have the same hazard flash fault on startup. I start the car and the hazards come on.

Works as intended for maybe a week, then starts turning the hazards on randomly until they won't be able to be turned off.

This for some reason activates Hazard lights when unlocking car and starting engine, or so.etimes just locking car. Killed my battery 2 times in a week. Trashed it and got better trusted manufacturer unit.

If your turn signals stop flashing, it's likely this part that needs replacing. Arrived quickly and well-packaged, the install is a bit challenging but that's Audi's fault: you have to pry-off the entire panel around the row where hazard module is installed. Doing this without scratching the finish or breaking/losing at least one of the four metal clips holding it back (two on the top edge, two on bottom, near the ends) is very challenging. Here's the problem, while this replacement part relays the turn signal blinking properly (and can be pressed to turn the hazards on and off), it has a tendency to spontaneously turn on the hazards without pressing the button. Other reviews have mentioned this happening when first staring the car, but I have experienced while driving. Suddenly you will notice the hazards are on … a quick jab at the button turns them off. It doesn't seem that the trim could be pressing on the button … rather something is very sensitive and vibrations or inertia might be triggering the hazard function. This part is such a pain to install that I am putting off replacing it, but it can create a dangerous situation if someone who isn't aware of the issue is driving. If it continues or increases in frequency, and I can't figure out what triggers it, I will need to replace it. Too bad.

On my 2004 audi allroad the turn signals were solid and not flashing. I searched and found that the turn signal relay is part of the hazard switch. I bought this one and installed it. I pushed the hazard button and it worked fine. Checked the turn signals and they work pushed the hazard button again when I was putting the trim back on and the button got stuck. Probably not enough spring behind it and a tighter fit with the trim. I had to pop the trim back off and push the button again to get the hazards off then the hazards stopped working all together. So now I have blinking turn signals, but no hazards.

Don’t waste your money. Obviously this piece is made overseas. Here’s the problem, it fits perfectly but 50% of the time when you start the car the hazards flash on their own automatically. You have to manually turn the flashers off. This is annoying, otherwise the product performs like it should. Just weird that the flashers engage on their own once you start the vehicle. Tried two of these and the same thing happened with both. If you want to save money, go for this part, if you don’t want the hassle, spend the extra money and get OEM or quality brand.
