It is low profile so it provides excellent lower back support for those all day sits. The Hazmore backrest is made custom for your Summit Tree stand, it attaches quickly and securely to the v in the back of your Summit seat frame with sewn straps and slide buckles. This backrest weighs only a few ounces so it does not add unnecessary weight or bulk. This is the perfect complement for the Silent Seat. Fits Summit tree stands

These are modifiable more than any other one, with the older or open-shot model being standard. I look forward to hunting with it and it will add hours to my ability to hunt.

I was actually considering selling my summit stand because it was uncomfortable until I bought this along with their net seat

The back rest is nice, but they definitely aren't made for all summit stands. It doesn't fit my viper steel stand like the open shot summit shown in the advertised videos and the photos. The back rest is basically floating with the straps holding it in place. Had to leave it a little loose so that I could still pack my climber. It was in the way otherwise. It's still comfortable. From what little I can tell it's there, but definitely not what I was anticipating.Edit: I was able to make the backrest work by adding a pull strap behind it to push it forward. I've been told this back rest works for all the summit climbers except mine. Go figure ๐
. There isn't much on the market for quality back rest. This one is the best I've seen. Would still recommend (cheaper if you buy it from hazmore directly)

Recently purchased a Summit Viper SD,(Iโve been using climbers for over 30 plus years). Stand took some time to get used to., I ended up practicing unpacking/ packing ,climbing numerous times prior to hunting. Stock seat was definitely very comfortable, even on numerous all day sits. However, I did have minor issues with the seat. 1st, it is a little tricky packing up the stand with the stock seat. 2nd, I could not get the stock seat to sit up high enough to my liking. For rifle and crossbow hunting, the stock seat is fine. I switched over to the Hazmore silent seat and back pad ( mainly for archery hunting), and now the stand is absolutely perfect for me. This allows me to climb and descend with absolute ease, (seat no longer gets in the way). Sitting slightly higher makes it easier for me to keep scanning the woods, especially behind me. Stand is now effortless and efficient to pack. One last note, would highly recommend treestand stabilizer straps. They truly make any climber feel rock solid once set in place. Just my thoughts, Hope this helps.
