After tearing apart the brakes on my truck, I opened the box and realized the pads don't come with the hardware! Extremely irritating. Now I have to pay another $40 and wait a few days to order separate kits while my truck is unusable.Update 3/31/25Although the pads should include hardware, I will say that once they are burned in correctly, the grip is exceptional. Along with braided steel lines, these pads transformed my XTerra brakes from being soft and uninspiring to being as tight and amazing as my E46 BMW. They stop my 4,400lb truck on a dime. It's pretty remarkable. Highly recommend the pads, but be sure that you already have new hardware.

Like some other reviewers noted, stopping power seems to increase with duration. In other words, if I’m stopping off a freeway exit ramp, the initial bite is a little less than the stopping force that commences about one second later. That said, stopping power is easy to modulate. It is also better than stock pads. I am using these pads on a 2014 Nissan frontier pick up.

So I have a 2011 nissan frontier crew cab, and ive went through and experimented with a few different brake pads. Ive tryed ceramic, semi metallic, and now I currently have the these carbon pads by hawk performance. They are the prefect brake pad once there broken in. The pedal feels like it starts braking earlier then my other pads, it also has a slight firm pedal feel but once brake it appyed the brakes give the most perfect suction between the pad rotor in which you can feel and gives great confidence to the one hitting the brakes. Super smooth braking, and these things REALLY DO STOP ON THE DIME. There incredible definitely will buy again. I do have these paired up with a set of detriot axle slotted and drilled rotors and they seem to be the perfect match for these hawk performance carbon pads. THANK YOU FOR READING🤙🤙

I have a 2012 Frontier. I pull a quad trailer/ utility trailer filled with many different things at different times. I can now stop confidently.I always thought the only weakness of the Frontier was the brakes. I seem to have a perfect little truck now.

Night and day replacement for the existing Raybestos pads on my 2010 Nissan Xterra. The Xterra isn't known for great braking, but these Hawk pads make a HUGE improvement. Great initial bite. Don't do any trailering so can't comment there. Don't care about dust because all pads make dust no matter how much they advertise "low dust". Partnered these with brand new Raybestos rotors and properly burnished them per Hawks instructions.

I put these in my truck 2 months ago and just replaced them. Rotors were turned when these were put in. These have been the loudest (grinding and squeeling) pads I've ever heard, ever. They sounded worse than metal on metal, could be heard from blocks away.Absurd amounts of brake dust to boot.Maybe they were incompatible with the rotor material?? Regardless, wouldn't touch them again.

Nice breaks. Hawk Performance is a pretty good company and they make great breaks. I've noticed a little less dirt with these then the standard oem ones. They do provide a bit more break power.

Hawk brake pads are amazing! If you have a vehicle that is in need of a brake pad replacement and Hawk makes a set for your application I highly recommend it. I use them on my Nissan Pathfinder 2005, and 1996 Nissan Maxima. Its amazing how much stopping power you feel over factory or after market pads. Very pleased with these pads, quiet no squeaks a little more dust than factory pads but over all very much worth the price and stopping power.
