They do damping the movement as they should. I wish I had got the self centering ones like was what originally on the mower. Its just takes a while to get used to that.

Exact fit for my ‘06 Hustler 60”A little hard for awhile after installation but they break in. Just wish they were less expensive!

As advertised these dampers are non centering, and I decided that would be ok as long as they worked as well as the Hustler oem damper. They don't. These dampers are very stiff, and difficult to move forward or back. Not smooth at all. They operate more like a lift for a car hood than a steering damper. If you like the smooth and effortless operation of the oem damper, then get the oem damper because they are worth the higher price. I have now purchased the oem dampers to replace these, however I waited too long and can't get a refund on these.

Worked great to replace one that would stick and make it hard to drive my machine. I use my zero turn once a week to mow a few yards. It's been two years and one is already beginning to hang up. Really thought it should have lasted longer
