The dampers were the correct size but the threaded stems at each end were metric, not SAE. That doesn’t matter for the rear attaching point, because it’s a nut-and bolt attachment to a bracket, so there was no problem there. The front attachment, however is a blind hole tapped into a block, below the pivot for the control arms and the metric replacement just won’t go into the SAE-threaded blind hole. I found, however, that the little ball swivels come out of their sockets really easily by removing the little wire clip that holds them in place - I only needed a thumbnail to pry the clips out. I then used the old ball swivels, which were exactly the same size, on the new dampers, and the rest was easy. The nut-and-bolt attachment at the rear was awkward for me to start the thread and I found that holding the nut with long-nosed pliers allowed me to start the nut on the thread by turning the swivel with a 7/16th wrench. Fingers wouldn’t do it.

This states that locknuts are included - and even the invoice says locknuts were included - yet - no locknuts were included in the package when it arrived...

The control end of my Scag Turf Tiger accepts 5/16-18 thread. These dampers are M8-1.25 threads which obviously will not work. I’m outside my return window and these are useless to me now. Waste of money.
