The JD switch broke after only a couple of years and this was a direct replacement (I have an x350) and it's much less than one in the green/yellow box. The included keep has a shroud to keep dirt out which I think is what contributed to the factory switch's early demise. Definitely worth buying this one.

Caribiner is cheap and it didn't come with 2 keys. It did work in my John Deere x500 tractor though.

I bought this near the end of the 2022 season. It worked great until today. Now the key just turns and does nothing. It only lasted one year (six months of use)! My original John Deere switch lasted about ten years.

Item appears to be OK. But internal and external boxes were opened and damaged. Poor handling of shipment.

I thought my problem was a defective brake switch and ordered along with this new key switch. The brake switch still hasn’t showed up but thought I would get the switch installed. Turns out the problem wasn’t my brake switch and my old key switch was to blame. Old one took some time to get out of the dash but new one installed in seconds. I love the key with built in water and dust shield. Works perfectly definitely recommend someone purchasing this item.
