This adjustable backrest works perfectly mounted on my 2012 roadglide fltrx. Control lever a bit difficult to bolt in place but with some patience mounted right where needed. Would recommend for anyone with a touring harley if looking for one of these.

Great product for the price I should have bought a long time ago. Back rest moves alittle but moves with you as you ride.. I'm very happy with it.. instructions are very bad. It's was easy to figure out. They do have some good youtube videos out there on it. But overall A+

Installed on a 21 Road Glide. The product did not come with the clip nut as indicated in the directions, which were copies and barely readable let alone understandable. The product also did not come with the spark plug wire clip. After 2 trips to the Harley dealer and directions the Harley dealer graciously printed out for me, I was able to finish the job. Note for 21 Road Glide owners, as it turns out the clip nut was not necessary since there is a tapped hole which the bolt screws into, again not supplied by the seller and picked up at the Harley dealer. Let’s see how it works over the next couple months.

Good quality easy to install, should include the clip for the bolt to hold adjustment lever I worked around that by putting a bolt threw the frame where it attaches. If it had that it would be a solid 5 star

This is a great item, just like the high dollar one from Harley, only thing i can see different is it doesnt have the bar and shield stamped on the mount, and it sits under the seat anyways. The back rest pin that holds the pad is a bit too short and if you wiggle it a little bit, the pad drops to a lower position, but amazon is sending me a new one. update---- Amazon was on it fast, sent me a new one and its works just fine, sending the other back today. This back rest is just the same as the Harley one, less the stamped bar and shield, The back rest from this one even interchanges with the mount on the bike.

Fits but is a pain to install. Not any more difficult than from Harley.For the price I'd definitely buy this over 1 from Harley.

This backrest is an exact duplicate of the Factory product, except for the adjustment lever design. In fact, the included directions include the actual Factory directions! I have owned the Factory product and there is no reason to spend $350 when you can buy this one for $75. Mine worked perfectly right out of the box and all parts and directions were included . It did not include a speednut to clip to the frame, but I have a 2017 Road King Special and the mounting hole is threaded, so it's not needed. It did not include any zip ties. The protruding end of the spring on the Factory part and earlier versions of this one that necessitates a protective pad on the seat opening was already cut down to a proper height and no longer presents a problem. It installs fairly easily. If I were installing again, I would remove the adjustment lever from it's metal frame when you install it otherwise the adjuster is in the way when you try tightening the bolt that holds it to the bike. You can get to it from the right side of the bike, but I think it's alot easier to dissemble it and then reattach it after it's mounted to your bike. I am 5'8'' and weigh 175. I have a 30 inch inseam, 33 in sleeve length. I have the stock seat. This backrest helped me achieve the most comfortable reach and legroom. I tried several solo seats with a non adjustable backrest.. Saddlemen, Mustang, and CC Rider. All got me closer to the ground, but in the process increased my reach to the bars. I had to push far forward in those seats and felt I was on the tank and my legs were scrunched on the footboards. I preferred the slightly taller stock seat and this backrest. I would definitely buy this one again.
