The first one I ordered was defective. The piston would not move even with adjustment. I order a second one and returned the first. Second one worked perfect. I like that I can adjust the backrest easily to the right position.

After I installed this I went on a 400 mile trip. Backrest was very comfortable and worked like it was supposed to. A lot better deal than an HD backrest.

I may have ridden with this backrest a good 700 miles or so before the backrest was wobbling away from the bracket. I thought it was the bolt holding it but it was the entire thing. There was no way to tighten anything or even have hopes of fixing it. Through further inspection, I realized that the adjustable bracket was also moving. It was going side to side with no support, if I lean, it just rocked top the side with me. Don't waste your money!

Bello e comodo ma non di facile installazione. I fori non corrispondono a quelli della moto (electra glide ultralimited 2016) quindi bisogna bucare la carrozzeria e comunque non esce bene dalla fessura della sella. Ho dovuto far intervenire un meccanico harley che ha trovato le stesse problematiche. Tornassi indietro non lo riacquisterei.

Installed this on a 2014 Tri-Glide. Very easy to install. Took about 30 or 45 minutes. Mounted it to the two bolts that would hold the passenger hand-hold bracket on under the seat. It secured very tightly with NO play forward or backward with just thos two bolts. Later I will work on standoffs for the two forward mounting points. Hardest part for me was mounting the adjusting lever just because I couldn't see the bolt behind the lever as I was trying to screw it in. Back rest is easily removable and folds forward so that the passenger can get on easily. Has plenty of room for adjustment in it. Really saved my lower back on a 850 mile weeked last weekend. Great seller with fast shipping.

Bit tricky to install the adjustment lever, the clip on my bike was missing for the mounting bolt. Otherwise A1!

Everything was easy enough to instal, I took about one hour. There is a spring that load the pressure on the back rest, it was to long and poke a hole on the leader under the seat, not a big deal but I had to cut that extra half inch that could a damage the seat even more. Quality seems good, the adjustable back rest up and down, work well but with the leather on top, it’s not cosmetically good.

I installed this on my 2014 Ultra Limited and so far I like it. Leaving on a 2 week trip in a few days and will update this if my opinion changes.Installation in my case was somewhat tricky. The included instructions are too small and looked like third generation copies. I have air scoops on the side which made mounting the control lever more difficult. I also have passenger grab bars which mount to the same bolts under the seat that this does. That cause more problems than the scoops because the backrest mount sits on top of the grab bar plate. This made the mount higher in the back and tilted the backrest itself too far forward. Removing the grab bars would have been the easiest solution but my wife likes them. I ended up using thick washers (2 per bolt) to shim under the front of the mount. This restored the correct angle to the whole thing.The Backrest itself is sturdy enough for me. I can lean back into it and don’t feel any instability. The padding is comfortable and the color is a close match for the factory seat. My only complaint, other than the instructions, are that the backrest doesn’t flip all the way down when the lever is pulled. This is due to the design of my stock seat. I can live with it, though. It folds enough to make it easy for my wife to get on.

Not bad for the price. I bought mine at the wrong time. I bought it In the winter and didn’t actually use it until a couple weeks ago riding to Daytona. It’s a flimsy firm. I’m about 215lbs and it holds me up well but The backrest moves a lot. That’s why i said flimsy firm. I like the fact it was adjustable. That’s the reason I bought it. To have option to sit as upright as possible and to have to relaxed upright as well. What I didn’t like with that is when it’s at the most far front position it can go, it doesn’t lock in place and hold its position. It would slide back on its own while riding without me engaging the adjustment switch. Overall it’s not bad but its not great either. It’ll do for now. I missed the return deadline so I’m stuck with it.

The only reason why I give this 4 stars is because the bracket that releases the piston is not universal. And the instructions are not that clear. I had to modify the brack in order for it to be installed correctly. After that, it was a breeze. The bracket is hidden under my right engine guard.The backrest itself does feel like its loose and not sturdy. After looking at it, that's just how it's made due to the capability of it sliding up or down for height adjustment. Its actually a solid piece.All in all, its comfortable, affordable, and wide. Just wish the bracket was made to flip, and the instructions were more clear with clearer pictures...
