Great: idea, for the price, general use; It just gets WAY to HOT !!!You cannot hold your Laptop on your lap with it. It will burn you !Worst part, it De-Soldered then melted the plastic around my HDMI port !! A rather costly repair! I bought this to display my laptop on my TV, it works great so far. It was super simple to install, just look at the cords and plug them into the corresponding device. I'm really pleased so far.

I'm just using these to go a short distance of about 30 feet so I don't have a cable visible. They work fine, but on CNBC the moving stock ticker on the bottom of the screen is a little jerky. With a wired connection it's smooth. That's the only time I see any difference.I tried powering the receiver from the USB port on the TV, but it didn't have enough power, and turned everything on the TV screen green. The little USB power cubes that come with them work fine.I'm happy with them.

I use this for transmitting the 1080P signal from my cable box to my 1080P HD projector, and it works perfectly. This eliminates the long/ugly HDMI cord from the cable box to the projector. It was simple to setup, plug and play, and it connected in seconds. The picture is great, and I did not need to adjust the audio sync. The listing says that it comes with a 1-year warranty. For the price, you can’t beat the value it provides. I would recommend this transmitter/receiver.
