This hat has helped with keeping grass off my partner’s face. It has protected him from getting a rash from cutting grass it works well. The size is good and is light weight. It is easy to pop on and off.

Maybe I have a big head (no idea what my hat size is), but this is very very tight on my head. But it works great. I am a mosquito and insect magnet. This has so far kept the bugs out of my face, eyes, mouth, nose, and ears on several forest hikes. I can now enjoy hiking with my family without having to constantly swipe at my head. The only downside is the mesh tends to want to slide backwards down my back which pulls the front side into my face. I will pull it down on the front only to have it slide backwards again after a while. Annoying, but better than having bugs constantly in my face. You can even feel the bugs bounce off the mesh as they attempt to still go for my face (like I said, I'm a literal bug magnet).

This is my third one.I've purchased the The light color 1st You can't see as well through the Netting... Purchased the Black one this last time and the vision is better than all the other colors. Very comfortable on your head and light weight.

Went hiking in the woods last week and while hiking all I could think about was getting out of there. The bugs were in my eyes, ears and mouth... It was Awful. Me and other people looked like those inflatable tube men you see waving their arms and bodies at used car dealerships while we were trying to swat the bugs away. This hat and net conquers the bugs. The blood suckers, the Black flies, the Dear flies, the no see-ums were no match for the netting. The hat is comfortable and the netting isn't too bad to see thru at all. While watching the insects flying around my head trying to get to me I was smiling. The wide brim of the hat keeps the netting from clinging to your face wich is good. I hike a lot of miles with my dog and in the summer this hat wil be with me from now on... Would buy it again.

I live in a very rural area where the mosquitos are menacing. I have many outside chores on our property and I don't particularly care to use the Deep Woods Off on my neck or face. (Even though it's a great product!) The hat/net combo works very well. Keeps the vampires at bay while I do my work.Just make sure to lay the bottom edge of the netting uniformly on your back and upper chest. It drapes well and there is plenty of netting to allow the mesh to be well away from your face. The hat's very light weight and stays on your head. Overall a working product that's easy on the budget. Cheers!

I used this hat to work on farms over the summer. The hat was good quality and did what it was supposed to. However, I wish that the mesh wasn’t such a dark colour, as it made it kinda hard to see sometimes. Also it does feel stuffy in the hat during the summer heat but that’s pretty expected. Overall, it kept mosquitoes and bugs out and kept bites off my face.

This product is not bad overall, but in practical use it will leave the back of your neck exposed. After some heavy rains we had a massive outbreak of mosquitos. I wanted to use this to protect my face and neck while gardening, mowing, etc. around in my yard. When you first put on the product and keep your head up it seems to be adequate. As soon as you look down, gravity pulls all the netting forward and this causes it to ride up in the back, often exposing a few inches of the neck area. When you look up again, the netting does not drop down in the back and the neck remains exposed. If you can weight down the netting all around the bottom with some fishing weights or something like that, it might stay in place just fine. A better design would have the netting skirt contoured to fit up over/around the shoulder area and hang down more in back. Apart from that, product seems to be adequate and works as advertised.
