Pros:-Bright and vibrant.-Does actually work as a HUD.-Simple USB-C connection.Cons:-Uses GPS.-Doesn't connect to the port/reader on the car for better accuracy.-Tends to be 3-5 miles off. (Generally only 2.)Final thoughts:This is...affordable. It does sort of work, but it also is a hassle and doesn't work if you're going too fast. (By that, I don't mean speeding, I mean it has trouble catching up to the speed limit because their GPS satellites are a tad slow.) The HUD part does work, but it requires adhesive pads (both of which feel semi-permanent) and routing the wire (which isn't exactly long enough to so do), and it just kind of misses the mark.I don't hate it, it technically does work, I just don't love it. It's "meh" at best.

I would say it's a nice device, but I have yet to figure out placement of the unit and the reflective pad to get a reading. I have a 2013 Ford Escape, and the windshield has a significant slope to it. No matter where I place the head unit, it won't hit the reflective surface. I didn't realize this was a HUD, unit when I ordered it, and thought it was an LED display type.

This heads-up speedometer has allowed me to keep my eyes on the road instead of looking down at the speedometer often. I like this better than even units that sit on the dash, because this can be adjusted to any position on the windshield. It's very visible day and night, and auto-brightness keeps it from being too bright at night. Speed digits are large and slight italic so they look good. It worked without the reflective rectangle even on sunny days. From starting car it takes less than a minute to get GPS lock and show speed (usually about 20 seconds). No configuration is necessary, just stick on dash and connect USB cord to USB power (you need to have USB charger plug available in your car). This is a great value and well worth the added safety of keeping your eyes on the road.Reflector must be put on windshield when using polarized sunglasses. It's not needed otherwise but does make digits look clearer (without it windshield causes double reflections). I found that it must be mounted vertically otherwise it looks dark in polarized glasses when horizontal. Once applied to windshield it has some slight tinting. I mounted it lower so it's visually over the hood and not obstructing anything.

For somebody with a little bit of a heavy foot i find myself never paying attention to the speedometer much. I'd rather watch traffic.I like the thought of having it reflects off the windshield so I don't have to look down. My buddy had it in his corvette and I always thought it was a pretty good idea.At night it dont over light the area but does stand out better. It should be a standard option on every vehicle.

If you've driven a car with a factory HUD, don't expect something like that from this. This does work, and will give you a functional speedometer HUD. However, unlike a factory HUD, this requires that you apply a small piece of film to the windshield to improve the clarity. The film will be noticeable on the windshield and won't have the seamless look of a factory HUD.The USB cable placement also isn't in the best spot. The plug faces the front of the car, as in the wire will be coming out towards the windshield. This limits how close to the windshield you are able to place the HUD. Would have been much nicer if it came out of the sides. The instructions included are poorly translated to English. Like, seriously poorly translated. Luckily, it is so simple to use you shouldn't need the instructions at all.It is neat to be able to have a functional HUD in a car that wasn't equipped with one from the factory, but I'm not going to be keeping it in my car.

Setup is easy, just plug it in and wait 60 seconds. I’ve found it’s off 5mph after 50mph though. Also there are no instructions.
