The what looks like a wood board is just particleboard covered with some sort of a plastic cover that makes it look like wood. Very very cheap. The metal is fine. The directions are awful. There are none. There’s just a picture. Says be sure to use the right screws otherwise you can damage the headboard. But it does not tell you which screws. Very embarrassing made in China. I wish Amazon would stop buying crap from China. Most the stuff I return is from China.

I had this in my guest room, it’s gorgeous. It was easy to install, very lightweight, and fits and looks great! Perfect for a farmhouse look. It is thin and hits the wall easily.

In the end this is a fine attractive sturdy headboard. The screws are not labeled but the names of the screws are associated with their sizes so by lining them up you can deduce that the shortest ones are the M6*20 (=20mm), the next longest are the M6*25's, etc. After you figure out which pieces are which based on process of elimination and deduction, it's fairly straightforward putting them all together.My big panic attack was once I connected one side to my bedframe, I got to the other side and the other side of the headboard fell far short of lining up with the other side of the frame. I almost returned it but then it occurred to me to loosen the screws on the side I'd connected already and voila, I was able to slide everything around enough to make the other side fit. It was a little back and forth slowly tightening and reloosening and adjusting then re-tightening but everything came together great. The two top screws connecting the headboard to the frame are long and block my box spring from sitting flush with the top of the bed frame, but that's okay since I don't have any footboard or anything blocking the end of the frame, so the boxspring has clearance to just get bumped out a little bit.

PLEASE attention to screw length at EVER STEP! directions are terrible. its a bit short but does the job. had to go the hardware store to buy shorter screws toattach frame. They were way to big.

Love the look and easy to assemble, but it doesn’t line up with my king platform (it’s about an inch to long) therefore I can’t connect the two.

Perfect addition to the bed frames we already had. Definitely completes the look and ended up matching our bedside tables. The only thing with assembly is that I wish they would put the size (length) of the screws on there, as some differences are minute. Other than that it was easy to assemble. Very happy with this purchase.
