good for basic uses but maybe not great for audiophile or really hi-fi situations.pluses: has mono/stereo switches(although not useful for most basic listening situations, often when mixing an album it can be useful to test a mix in mono), comes with 9 1/8" female to 1/4" male adapters, doesn't have any kind of hum or squeal in the signal (like some other cheap 8x headphone amps i tested)drawbacks: makes a loud popping sound in the headphones when you plug in even when the volume for a channel is set to 0 (maybe due to cheap circuitry). not sure if this pop is bad for the headphones. the headphone adapters that come with, don't work with 3 ringed headphone plugs (i.e. headsets headphones). plugging in a 3 ring into the adapter causes either the left or right channel to be phase inverted thus removing the mono and leaving only a weird sounding stereo signal (i.e. doesn't really sound good at all!)

I grabbed this device to replace a unpowered headphone distributor thinking this may be a better solution for my podcast table to distribute the audio to everyone. Boy, was I let down. After dealing with audio for years as a hobbyist, I may not know everything, but I understand cables can be the difference between crisp audio and garbage. First off, this only has 1/4 inch slots, which means I needed to use my high-quality 1/8 to 1/4 cables or xlr to 1/4 cables for a fair test. Something marketed as a headphone distributor seems odd with 1/4 inch jacks, but whatever, I grabbed 3 of the nicest cables already proven to be great quality in my current set up.Somehow, this distributor even makes $500 shure microphones sound terrible. I just don't get how bad the audio quality is. I tried a slew of different cables and mixers and microphones, and every combination sounds like garbage. Honestly, I didn't think my monitor headphones could sound that bad.In theory, this is great Device. It's built well and functionally, exactly what I could use. You only have control of the levels, which should be adequate, and some Stereo/Mono buttons for each line. Very disappointed that I waited so long to test this out because I'm well beyond the return window, but it's a great looking paper weight. I hope one day I find a situation where this device shines... I just haven't found any.

I need a few more headphone outputsand audio outputs to some other devices. This amp helps sothat I don't have to keep on unplugging & plugging in devices.Plus, having 7 extra headphone outputs is definitely a bonuswhen there are few other people over.⦁ The chassis is a sturdy metal making it more durable anda candidate for portability use. The knobs are mostly decentall though a couple do have a slight wobble to them.➽ Notable Features:⦁ A power button right on top and toward the front on thedevice is an excellent position in my opinion makes it easy toget to unlike a lot of other devices which the power buttonlocated on the back or some other inconvenient location.⦁ Mono / Stereo button is a good feature to have especiallywhen using multiple audio sources such as a guitar (mono)and then switching over to music (Stereo)➽ Price at Time of Review: $39.99➽ Dislikes / Issues:⦁ There's quite a noticeable volume increase when switchingfrom Mono into Stereo mode and vice versa which can beannoying at times. Once in awhile I do switch modes whenplaying guitar, depends of the tone I'm going for.⦁ It would be great if there were two input jacks instead ofjust one so another audio source could be used easily.✪➽ OVER-ALL:⦁ I like this little headphone amp. It has come in handy a fewtimes already, It's well built and a decent quality. The priceis reasonable. Even with the volume differences from monoto stereo it still a solid unit and worth checking out.⦁ I would Recommend~ Be Safe, Have Fun, Enjoy Life!___________⪨Ꙭ⪩______________________________________________✪ ⪨ MIND ⪨⪨ ✨ ⪩⪩ PRIME ⪩➽ SCORE: 4 Stars > ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐➽ I Hope That My Review Was Informative & Helpful !✪ Thanks for Reading._______________________________________________________________✨➽ STABCL | Headphone Amp – 8 Channel Stereo HeadphoneAmplifier, Portable Metal Earphone Splitter w/ Built-in Equalizer,Headphone Amp with Mono and Stereo, Suitable for Sound Mixer_______________________________________________________________⪨ MIND ⪨⪨ ✨ ⪩⪩ PRIME ⪩_____________________________

I'm pretty picky when it comes to budget in-hope production gear. I bought a 4-channel Samson headphone splitter a couple years ago that is really nice, and you can daisy-chain them, but it was close to $80.This STABCL (never heard of before) brand device is clear as can be, and is easy to hook up. The knobs feel sturdy and are not some cheap plastic... more like compressed rubber or maybe silicone. One of the knobs was a lot tighter than the other, but I just turned it all the way down and all the way up while powered off, and it smoothed out the action on the knob. I love this thing!

I tested this unit out tonight and had no issues on stereo or mono connections. The sound was great and I was easily able to control the volume as all the knobs and buttons worked just fine. This will be a great little splitter for when it's necessary. Pretty straight-forward.
