My eye doctor cautioned me about protecting my eyes during dental x-rays. Most dentists do not have anything to cover my eyes, so I purchased this thyroid shield to place across my eyes when the hygienist takes x-rays. It works really well. It is heavy and has side straps so it covers my eyes and forehead. It is well constructed. My doctor thought it was a great idea.
