My dog hates thunder now that he is older. This heartbeat dog helps when he is anxious over an approaching storm. I just lay it near him and he calms down. He usually doesn't lay on it but sometimes puts his head against the edge of it. It defiantly makes a difference for him. I bet it would be great for a lonely puppy.

Got this cutie yesterday and we had a hard first night. Went online and someone on Reddit recommended one of these. This one had the fastest delivery and best price. As soon as it arrives I put some batteries in and turned it on. Note that it requires 2 AAA batteries and it doesn't come with them. Once I turned it on and placed it in the crate with him he immediately cuddled it and was asleep within minutes. Highly recommend!

Our senior Shih-Tzu likes to snuggle with "Beats" at night. It helps him stay at the foot of the bed instead of climbing all over our pillows and heads at night. He'll heave a big sign and rest his chin on Beats, then fall asleep. Beats has gone through the wash a few times and held up just fine. It is soft and the perfect size for our boy. The beating part is simple to turn on and off, and we appreciate the timer.

My sister had two blind 15-year-old cock-a-poos. One died recently and left the one remaining feeling completely abandoned. I don’t like the heartbeat. The official snuggle puppy heartbeat is better quality and more real feeling, but my puppy didn’t care for either heartbeat, so ultimately it didn’t matter. He just loves this stuffed animal by itself. It calms him down and he sleeps with it, he takes it on car trips, in his crate, wherever he needs comfort. It’s his favorite soft toy. He sucks and chews on the ears, and so the head got a little rip at the seam, but I sewed it back up and it’s fine.

My dog absolutely love this. We had to take my puppy home at five weeks old because the mother got vicious with them and she absolutely love this toy into this day. She is six months old and still plays with it ever so gently.I just took the heart beat out but she still sleeps with it every night
