I've read the other reviews people talking about the bowl being broken or having holes. Its fine for me at least, I will say I am knocking off a star as it only sightly helps keeps things warmer. Outside of that its just a glass matcha bowl, not really much to say!

Beautifully and carefully packaged! Arrived perfectly, and is as described. I’ve never seen a glass double walled bowl, but it’s just as I thought. ❤️

half bowl, half cup. it’s pretty huge for a coffee cup, so it’s a great way to start a long day. best part is that you can boil water in the microwave really quickly in it and it’s still relatively safe to touch (use caution, of course) insulating layer does work well. beware metal utensils, it is thin glass and the nature of glass is to break.

I returned my original bowl because I found a small bubble/hole in the bottom of the outer glass shell of the bowl. On the replacement bowl I found the same issue. I still think it is a nice bowl but this is somewhat upsetting especially for a pricey ~$20 bowl. If it fills with water when run in the dishwasher, I am going to have to return it. Just expect this to be present on your bowl if you decide to buy.

This was great, until it broke. It was beautiful, and worked wonderfully. However, one morning (maybe a month after I purchased it), I poured my hot water into it, and it just cracked. It was outside of the return date, so just a loss, I guess. Too bad, I was very happy with it until then, but I’m not comfortable drinking out of a glass that spontaneously cracks.

I use this so that I can truly appreciate the color of my matcha whisk work! I like how smooth the bowl is.The lip makes it perfect for matcha sipping (and/or slurping)! The size is just right to practice usucha-style whisking with a regular sized chasen (matcha whisk). The only downside to my bowl is that there is a hole at the bottom of the glass in which water can seep through. As a result some of water/condensation gets trapped between the layers of glass. I've tried to shake it out but haven't had much success.Overall, it's a good bowl at a decent price!

So here are pros and cons to consider:Pro: very functional, right size and shape for whisking up a good bowl/cup of matcha. Modern style. Outside of cup doesn’t get hot so easy to handle.Cons: it has funky ridge that you feel when drinking from it. It’s definitely not a bodum. I did not pay close attention and thought it was a bodum but it is a bodum knockoff and has a strange feel on your lips. I’m sure I will get use to it.Overall it’s pretty good and I am going to keep it

I use the glass insulated mugs for tea. This works just the same for soup. Don’t use a metal spoon for either! You’ll break them super fast. Use plastic spoons or bamboo if you wanna be earthy and fancy. Amazon sells all sorts of bamboo spoons forks knives and more.
