Would be nice to have instructions, and the video doesn't work in the description, at least for me.That being said, it comes with all you need. Two extra bolts which will through you into a doubt roller-coaster for a bit.The fact that this comes with everything in the box including some inserts is what attracted me. Works just fine.

Heats up fast. Nice little display. Makes pushing brass fittings into 3d print so easy and accurate

This is the manual? One piece of paper. 1." Install four foot washers". They are actually called pads, 4 fabric pads so they don't scrap. Not sure how to even use the thing. Needs a manual on temp selection

Base is sturdy and the clamp holds the soldering iron tightly. Have not had any problem using this to install inserts into my prints.

I have been slowly expanding my 3d printer setup over the last six months and wanted to add threaded inserts to my projects. This inset device fit my requirements perfectly. It is easy to put together, get extra soldering iron which is a very nice design without breaking the bank! During times of out of control inflation it is nice to find a great deal like this item! Works very well, allows me to add new capabilities to my 3d printing hobby!

This is a pretty standard design for heat insert presses at this point. The assembly instructions are pretty barebones and there are zero instructions for the included soldering iron. Overall, this isn't bad but for the price, they shouldn't be cutting corners like they have. The assembly itself is more difficult than it should be for multiple reasons. The included hex wrench only fit one of the screws included. The wrench for the single nut is useless because the nut has no clearance to reach it. The wrong screws were included. The biggest issue is that it uses a slotted corner bracket to brace the upright. Since the base is flat metal, you'll need to break off a couple of the tabs on the bracket for it to sit flush. The size of this bracket can make that difficult. I got one off with a screwdriver but had to grind the other off.Another thing that should be improved is the spring tension screw and the height adjustment screw should be thumbscrews. These are likely to be changed frequently and having to use a hex wrench for that is silly.

The iron failed after very little usage, less than 20 inserts. And worse yet, its failure mode was to turn the iron on, and set the temp to 380C (or whatever max is). I had turned it off and left the room, when I started smelling PLA burning. Along with it turning itself on, and maxing itself out, it would no longer allow me to lower the temperature to less than 356C.So no problem. I contacted Amazon support, and asked for a replacement iron. I like the rest of the unit, it was just the soldering iron that was the problem. I asked Liouhoum for a replacement iron, and they blew me off. I still haven't received a response from them. I ended up purchasing a soldering iron to replace the one from Liouhoum, but I decided that I wasn't going to let them off the hook. So back it went.I'll buy another one from a different seller.

This is a really nice, complete, well designed set. Everything you need in order to set your own threaded inserts is included. The inserts, insert driving bits, iron, stand, clamp, and guide rail are all there. They're not necessarily perfect, but they are definitely all good enough to get you started without needing anything else.As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are a bit lacking; but they cover enough that anybody who does this type of work should be able to figure out the rest. It does seem like a mixture of parts from various other products, rather than a device that was made of parts designed to work together; but they do fit and function properly. The stand, clamp, and guide rail make aligning and setting the inserts much easier than when doing it by hand and eye; and they all come out perfectly plumb, which can make a huge difference to the finished product of whatever you're working on.My only real complaint is -- as others have mentioned -- that the inserts to not stay on the bits. They have to be placed, and then driven in. Being able to put them on the end of the bit, and move the entire setup into position would be much easier, faster, and more precise. I have found that using some heat-resistant tape to hold the inserts in place on the bit will work; but the tape needs to be placed at the top edge of the insert, and removed before it gets to the plastic. There are probably better methods, but this is working so far.
