I’m drafting my wedding dress in pink and I needed to find a way to hem a v-neck and gauntlet sleeves in lace. I found this stuff and it works BEAUTIFULLY! I tested it on some scrap fabric (1st pic) to make sure I didn’t melt the synthetic fabric. Sure enough the fabric is fine and the interfacing holds! The adhesion seems to give up after some stretching, but I only needed it to hold together for stitching. When I do it in ivory, my wedding dress is going to look stunning thanks to this stuff!

Bought this item to hem several tee shirts. When I applied it according to package directions it failed. I believe it may have been too old. I was very disappointed. Don’t know if I would buy this again.

For whatever reason, it seems like I wind up with a disproportionately high percentage of pairs of pants whose ankle hems separate. I've spent entirely too much time hand sewing these back together over the years, and figured I'd give this a shot.Using this is about as effortless as one could imagine, and the results are PERFECT! It took me well under five minutes to repair the ankle hem on my latest failed pair of pants (most of that time was waiting for the iron to heat up), and the repair has held up perfectly, with no signs of loss of adhesion. This also does not impart any additional stiffness or lack of flexibility to the fabric at all, even on 100% nylon dress slacks. I'm extremely impressed, and highly recommend this product.

I bought Soft Stretch Lite to hem a ribbed knit wide leg pant. I was worried about it coming apart, so I used two strips (one for each side of the fabric being adhered). It looks great! There is slight stiffness because I used two layers of tape and plus it's ribbed so I didn't imagine any sort of hemming would allow 100% movement same as before, but it's still nice. Very easy to apply. Instead of cutting one long strip, I cut multiple short segments to make lining up the strips easier along the hemline. I was lazy and didn't sew afterwards. The hem hasn't budged. I used this tape on scrub pants as well, which have gone through many cycles of washing and drying on low heat, and the hem is still intact. Make sure you give enough seam allowance (I was lazy and didn't do an extra fold over or zigzag stitch to prevent fraying). The tape even limited the fraying that happened on the raw edge after washing and drying. Highly recommend! Just keep expectations realistic with ribbed stretch fabrics.

I’ve been sewing for decades and I’ve always hated hemming any knit garment because the hems never looked smooth or professional. I read about this stretch heatnBond product and wanted to give it a try.I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised but how GREAT it works. You just iron the tape to the bottom inside of the hem area, then remove the paper backing layer, fold up the hem (with the HeatnBond applied) and press again. Voila! Your hem is perfectly flat, with an even hem height around the entire garment, and then the hem can be sewn up beautifully. There is no residue left on the sewing needle and it produces a flat, professional-looking hem in no time.On narrower hems I’ve cut the product in half lengthwise and it worked just as well as the full 5/8” width. Now that I’ve found this product, I’m actually looking forward to making more knit garments because I know my hems will look perfect without the waviness and stretched-out look. Where has this product been all this time?! If you do much sewing, you’ll LOVE this product! I highly recommend it.

I've just started learning how to sew knits (I've been sewing woven fabric for about 9 months now), and I was warned that hemming knits was hard and that it was very tricky to get a flat, non-wavy hem. I did some research online and found this adhesive. I found it to be very easy to apply (just apply to the edge of the fabric, then fold up and iron again) and surprisingly strong, without restricting any of the stretch in the original fabric. I still stitched the hem mostly for the look (it seemed strong enough that the stitching isn't actually necessary), and it was the easiest hem every, no waviness at all. I've tried this with a mystery almost terry-knit from the remnants bin and a thin jersey.

Where have you been all of my sewing life?! OK, so I only just started sewing in January this year 😂 but this stuff is the bomb! I was working with a really slippery knit fabric and the time came to hem the bottom. I was dreading the task and then I thought why not try this stuff? It was soooo easy to use. It created a nice crisp hem with a bit of body (though not too much) making it so much easier to sew afterwards. If you are a beginner like me, you’ve got to try this product.

I used to dread hemming knits with my twin needle, but this stuff has made the process so painless. No pins/clips, straight hems that don't curl and retains stretch, what more could you ask for?! Bought the Lite version after running through the Ultra, and I like it just as much for lighter knits. I also really like the weight that this tape adds to the hem. It is less noticeable with the Lite, but the weight of the tape adds a subtle change to the drape that gives the bottom hem a little something extra. It looks especially nice on dresses and tunics, IMO. Not a sponsored post, but I would TOTALLY become a "brand ambassador" for this product if given the opportunity. Now that I know it exists, I will never not have this in my sewing toolbox.

This product was my sanity saver while attaching mesh inserts to lycra for rhythmic gymnastic leotards. It kept the pieces in place far better than pins for sewing them together. The stretch factor of this product was important for my use.

If you sew or alter knit/stretch fabrics, this tape is key to getting a smooth, professional looking hem. I cut about a 6-8 inch pice, then cut it in half lengthwise. Then I cut little 1 inch pieces. I iron those just below the raw edge of the hem (wrong side of the fabric), one by one, leaving about an 1/8 inch space between each piece. After going all around, you can proceed with the fusing directions. It makes for a smooth, durable, no-sew hem, and has made sewing with knits a breeze!
