I got this as a birthday present for my friend who is trying his hand at blacksmithing and he loves it! Stray sparks are always flying at him and he says the apron has protected his clothes many, many times. It also looks cool!

Although it looks good, I don't believe it is made of real leather. It is also thin so I don't believe it will last as long as a real leather apron. Overall I was disappointed in this work apron.

I feel pretty certain this isn't leather at all. The straps/hooks aren't, and the rest of the leather is suspect, too. It's also not waterproof at all. I poured some La Croix on it, and it immediately sunk in/through the apron.It looks good enough from the distance, and I'm sure it'll work fine for BBQing, but don't use this if you're actually welding...

Wow, I was shocked by the quality. The leather is very heavy. I like it. Not bad.I am a DIY enthusiast. I often repair or make things by myself, so my clothes are always full of patches or stains. This Hiligolal heavy-duty leather work apron solves my troubles very well. Because it is made of full leather, it can block any splashes very well, which is the most important thing for me. And although it is made of full leather, it is not bulky, so it is still comfortable to wear.

I have a couple leather aprons and this is the thinnest of the bunch. I was wanting another apron to use when welding and grinding, but I don't know if I trust this apron for that. It just seems too thin for that. Also, there are a lot of buckles and fasteners to work with. The pockets are a bit tight and hard to put stuff in them. Overall, this is an OK apron, just not what I was really looking for.

This almost fully leather work apron is a nice addition to my workshop. The leather is pretty thin making the apron lightweight, which I appreciate in the Texas heat, but I'm not sure how durable it will be given the thinness of the material, time will tell. I was expecting a nice leather fragrance of the apron when I pulled it out of the bag, however it has more of a chemical smell, likely due to the waterproofing coating.For some reason they opted to make the pocket and tool loops in the very middle of the apron out of PU leather with a white vinyl backing. It would be better and more durable if they used real leather in this key location. The multiple pockets, including hammer loops and nail pouches, will be handy for keeping my tools organized and within easy reach. I'm a tall guy and the apron rests just above my knees when I'm standing, so the length is perfect and it's adjustable for people of different heights. I will be using this apron for welding to keep the splatter from messing up my clothes and I think it will work good for that purpose. Overall I'd recommend this apron for those looking for a light duty work apron.

I think "heavy duty" is a bit of poetic license... this is a nicely made apron and the leather does seem capable of stopping light welding splatter but the "real" welding aprons I've encountered are MUCH thicker leather. Oddly the item comes with the buckled straps disconnected so one of the shoulder pads slipped away while I was unpacking and I only discovered it some time later. Adjustment is fairly easy - it seems like one should adjust the buckled straps to around the 3rd hole just to keep the leather ends from flapping around and then use the webbed belt for actual adjustment.I'm a DIYer so I expect this apron will be plenty robust for my needs, but professional welders should (and probably will) look elsewhere. For the homeowner/DIYer it seems aimed at, I gave this a solid 4 stars.
