This is a very strong metal winder that fits perfectly as a replacement piece in our 2" blind.

this part is exact size as the original and to my surprise the package came with 2 of them in it. i can see why they are referred to as heavy duty because the gear mechanism is not plastic like the original. this definitely should last a lot longer then the original one. am very pleased with this purchase.

My blinds are about 15 years old and it just stopped working. I placed the hour with only 3 minutes left to have it delivered the next day. It arrived in less than 24 hours and I had it installed in less than 5 minutes. It saved me a Net of $65 and works great! There were two in the pack so I already have a replacement when the next blinds stop working.

Fit perfectly. Made of more durable materials than the original part, even. Surprisingly easy to install; just looked up YouTube videos. Glad it came in package of 2, as not long after I got it, I broke another one. My originals have a plastic part that holds the hook, and over time it becomes brittle and breaks easily, whereas the new part is metal. Would buy again, if needed for other blinds.

Very glad it was a 2 pack. At the time of order we only needed 1. The other day, another one broke so within minutes had that one repaired also. As the blinds start to age and the originals were cheap plastic and drying out.... It might not hurt to have spares on hand.Installation was pretty straight forward. Good videos online. Do what you need to to slide the rotation bar out of broken rotation mechanism. then a simple pop out with a slight twist to remove. Installed is kind of the reverse. Slight twist to pop into place and make sure the hook part is seated. Slide the rotation bar into mechanism... and return blind to window. Some blinds easier than others. So your mileage may vary. But a simple project.

This was a really easy fix. I was wary before ordering because the shape of this and how it snaps in place is a little different than my original. But as long as your channel is the stated size, as mine is (2" x 2.25") it works fine. The little tab on the window side grabs the channel fine, and instead of the front side also snapping in, it just uses that one tab on the back / window side, with pressure downward on the wand portion that fits into the wand control hole. That rectangular grommet or slot (aka wand control hole) is .5" x .72" (on mine and on this replacement control). Install was easy, but I did have to also pop up out the first string assembly and slide it over a half inch so that the 1/4 rod could slide down far enough to pop the control out past the rod. There might be an easier way, I think there is a video running around.

These are great, slipped right into the blinds and are working so smoothly. I have the Home Depot 2” wide faux wood blinds. I did not want to have to replace blinds as we are selling and (have just sold our house ) they wanted the blinds which did not work right. Everyone is happy now.

The wand tilter on one of our blinds broke over a year ago and I thought we needed new blinds to fix it so instead I glued it back in place, but it stuck the wand in place so you could turn it. Found this replacement part by accident looking for valance clips and gave it a try. It repaired it and worked like a charm! Takes less than 5 minutes to install, plus this part is more durable because it's made of metal instead of plastic. Saved me $40 buying new blinds.

Arrived in a timely manner and rec'd both items as stated in the sellers information. Item was a perfect fit and the blinds are working again. Metal parts inside as opposed to plastic cranks in the original should last much longer. Great purchase and saved replacing expensive blinds.

I bought 4 units to replace broken tilters that came originally with the blinds. The installation was real easy, in fact I replaced 3 in less than 30 minutes. My blinds are made by Faux Wood Blinds (Grand Wood 2" Plantation Style, 6 ft. wide by 4 ft. long) and the fit was perfect.Parts are well made and I personally liked that the gears and sprocket are made of metal thus will last longer, Someone mentioned in a comment that the metal parts made it harder to close and open the blinds than the plastic ones, neither my wife or myself found them any harder but even if it was harder to turn I rather have them last longer with metal gears and sprocket.Tips:1) Make sure that you align the flats in the gear and socket when installing tilter into hexagon shaft otherwise it will be hard to insert tilter into shaft.2) You might also want to purchase a pack of CLEAR Valance Clips for Window Blind Valance (10 Pack) for $6.69 if you have a valance to cover the blind track. The valance is held by plastic clips and there is a good chance they will break when removing the valance and blind to replace the tilter.

Several of our wooden blinds have had their tilt controls break after many years of use, so I ordered these to be a better replacement. While these are metal gears, to replace the plastic gears of the originals, they are not greased, so the action is a little more harsh than the originals, and require a little more force to tilt them. When I dismantled the old blind controls, I found that the tilt mechanism housings had broken open, but the gears were all OK. So I think these metal gears may not be an improvement, nor last any longer. Time will tell. If I could have, I would have opened these to apply some grease, but there does not seem to be any way to do that easily. Our blinds all work again, and that's the important thing. It's easy to replace these: Raise and lock the blind before removing from the window. Remove the end cap on the opposite side from the tilt mechanism (I used a screwdriver to tap it out), and slide the hexagonal tilt rod out enough to disengage from the tilt mechanism. Pry the top lip of the rail away from the mechanism enough to unsnap and remove it. Drop in the new one, making sure the lip around the tilt control protrudes from the bottom of the rail, and snap the top lip in place. Push the hexagonal tilt rod through the new mechanism, rotating it right and left to get it to engage and slip through. Put the end cap back on.
