Heavy duty? Not!

These started at 5 stars, but they did not handle the sun well, at all. If you need a short term fix at a reasonable price these will work great! If you want them to last an extended time period, in the sun, you'll want to look elsewhere.

I had a roof leak after a storm and needed weight to hold down a tarp without causing more damage. They are perfect for that.

This is a set of sandbags I can easily give a five star rating to because they are a good size, heavy duty, and supposedly able to weather the sun better than others. I do like that they are green because all we have ever gotten before is white ones locally. The main place we use these is along one edge of our driveway when the wet season begins. The problem that we have is that the driveway tends to slope toward the west in places and if there is too much rain at one time the water can go right over the western embankment eroding the ground and gravel with it. It is hard to repair. If we are lucky the rain comes at a reasonable pace, trickles through the gravel driveway to the street, and then runs down the hill. The older white sand bags from years past are disintegrating and it is time for new ones to reinforce them before the wet season starts later ths year.

I got these to use at my parents' house. The last two hurricanes were strong enough to blow water under their front door and into their house.I got some construction sand from a big box store, and put half into an 11 inch vacuum seal bag, then just sealed it - no vacuum. I put that inside this sandbag. I tossed two of them in front of their door where they are currently undergoing the "Tropical Storm Debby Test." The bags seem like standard poly weave and they should provide abrasion resistance to the vacuum bags inside. Will update after the storm.

**These sandbags are a lifesaver!** I live in an area prone to flooding, so I was thrilled to receive these heavy-duty polypropylene sandbags. They're exactly what I needed to feel prepared. The material is thick and sturdy, and the UV protection is a major plus. I've already tested them out by filling them with sand, and they're incredibly easy to handle and tie off. Peace of mind knowing I'm ready for whatever Mother Nature throws my way!I'm confident these sandbags will hold up well over time, and I'm so glad I have them on hand. Highly recommend!

We use a lot of sandbags on our 1/3 of an acre hilly backyard and these are game changers! Sturdy and a very nice color, we used these bags for our stairs that take a beating every time we have weather. I really like the color, makes everything look soo much better. And they seem much stronger than the regular ones. My spouse said they're easy to fill and tie and he was able to load the sand from the old broken ones directly into these new ones.

When it rains hard and for a long time I sometimes have a problem with water running down my garage steps in the backyard leading to flooding in the garage. These sandbags are just what I need to build a preventive barrier around the top of the steps to divert the water to deeper into the backyard. The bags can hold up to 50lbs of dirt or sand and are made of strong material that is designed to last a long time. They have UV protection so they will last longer while exposed to the sunlight when it is not raining. I have had one storm since setting up the bags and so far all is well.
