It was good for about 1/2 the job of 750 sq ft of flooring. After that I couldn't get it to release again. Also had a metal burr on the face plate that I had to watch didn't scratch the prefinished flooring planks.

I honestly bought this with the intention that I might need it only once or twice. It became an IMPORTANT part of my tools. I used it on every row end.

It’s well built the only thing I would recommend is placing a piece of felt on the bottom to protect flooring when installing.

I purchased two floor jacks to perform two tasks: as a clamp to install 820 s.f. of 3/4" thick tongue-and-groove hardwood flooring and as a spreader to install 210 s.f. of 5/8" thick tongue-and-groove siding planks onto a kitchen ceiling. These jacks worked great and are a good value. Be careful if you plan to use this clamp/spreader overhead! These are heavy tools - be sure that they are secure overhead to avoid injury should the material being clamped or spread let's go. I recommend these tools as a floor jack that can also be used as a spreader.
