The SPECILITE toilet safety rails has some of the common features as the standard toilet rails such as supportive metal frame, non-slip handles and rubber feet. What makes it stand out is the LED light and the foldable feature. It is easy to install and seems really heavy duty with a weight capacity of 665 pounds. I don’t know how useful the LED light for everyone but in my case, it works well because the bathroom does not have good lighting. The LED light makes it easier to see. I especially like the foldable design because it can be stored away to save space.

My Mom had knee replacement surgery and has a difficult time getting off the toilet. This item makes it easy to use both arms to help lift her up. The item is very well made and all the materials (plastics, aluminum) feel top notch. Everything was individually wrapped so nothing was scratched or broken. The half sheet instructions are super fine print and have few steps to the point of being useless. Why don’t these manufacturers print full page large print instructions especially when the item is geared towards seniors. I used the pictures from the Amazon listing to assemble it. It is really pretty basic but others might be confused. The toilet we have it installed on is a standard height (maybe 13”) and the feet have to be lowered to the bottom setting. Once installed and the side bumpers are tightened, it is very sturdy. I was surprised because there is no bar on the back to hold the sides together. Don’t over tighten the bumpers because there is no back bar and you will just spread the sides. It is plenty sturdy enough with the large feet. This has changed everything for my mom who now feels much more independent. We are very pleased with this purchase.
