I did not buy from Amazon, I bought these in Dental school 8 years ago and have been using them daily in my practice since then, so I have some experience with these, and I'll write and honest review. For flip-up loupes, these are some of the best you can get. The biggest advantage to these is the depth of field, which is enormous-- something like 12 inches. The optics are great. I would say the biggest downside is the frames. They are comfy, but they are week. I've had to replace them like 4 times in the past 8 years. And they are expensive. Also, I had two different Heine lights. The light was very even and bright, but they would inevitably short out within about 6 months. Heine tried to blame it on me, but it was just regular use. I finally ditched them and went with a Lumadent light which has been reliable.
