We've used this product for years on our horses, and it always works great in conjunction with diligent manure removal in their paddock, fly traps all around, and all-natural fly spray. We love that the collar is all natural and essential oils, and it smells mild and pleasant. It doesn't totally cover up their yummy horse smell. It adjusts easily to fit our 13-hh POA and our 36" mini well, and we use the extra end strips that we trim off to keep flies away from the barn area or in a saddle bag while trail riding. We replace these collars every month or two during the spring, summer, and early fall (they work so effectively that you'll be able to tell when their usefulness is fading, the scent decreases and the flies around the horses increase). Our only complaint is that the horses are often able to rub their necks enough to unlatch the collar, and the little white clips are sometimes difficult to find in the paddock. We save those little white clips as much as possible when we switch to new collars and re-use them again and again. Even after half of the top of a clip snapped off one we have been able to keep using it effectively for months. The company is great, too. Recently we received two collars which were missing the white clips from the packages, and the company sent us replacement clips right away. Highly recommend this fly collar and love supporting a company that stands behind their products!

This collar is really good for keeping the flies off of my horses face and nats out of her eyes. It does not deter horse flies or yellow flies off the rest of her body but I’m happy with just the nats being out of her eyes. My horse does not like fly wipes or sprays so it’s very difficult to even put a collar on her, but once she smells the scent, she takes off, but she did not do that with the scent of this collar. She is had it on now for a week and a half and it is still working. When putting on the collar and snapping it into place with the two clear snaps that you get, you have to make sure that you squeeze them hard and hear it click. If you do not, it will come off. I will buy this collar again when it stops working.

Started buying these fly collars going on the 2nd month now. Have found that they do genuinely help especially around the face and eyes. No more using fly masks which the horses rip and tare over time. It takes a good 30 days for the repellant to get into horses system which makes their coats look oily. When it rains the collars hold their strength. The only thing I do not like is the snaps to hold on do not work so well so have used zip ties instead

Thanks to the instructions on the packaging, I understood how easy it is to put it on, the two pieces that are the same interlock together and it is well tied up. I've only been using it for a few days and I cam already see the difference in its repellent effect against flies, especially in this hot weather in Texas. The smell is nice and relaxing!

I was hoping to avoid a fly mask and chemical sprays to keep the flies down so this was a good alternative, unfortunately it did not keep the flies off. I will say it reduced the number of flies but I still had to resort to the the mask and sprays.

The "snaps" for this collar are totally inadequate. Put it on my horse and by the time I turned my back and turned back around, it was on the ground. THey do NOT hold at all. I ended up cutting it up in pieces and tying it into his forelock, mane and tail which, of course, got tangled and were a real problem to get out. I did not see any appreciable difference in the number of flies on my horse. USELESS. DESERVES A ZERO RATING.

I like the smell and durability but they did not work for us. No bug repelling qualities whatsoever. One horse is still wearing hers but another has rubbed it off. The button snaps were also a little difficult to use but I did not have any expectations as a first time user.

well the flys have decreased but still fly around on her ..seems to help her face...but not worth this much I paid for it. will not buy again
