now the item is for (in my opinion) looking at things like the details of plant leaves, and microscopic water life forms, but it's useful to examine other things as well, I use the item for closely looking at the spray needles of my airbrushes in my polishing process.all 'n' all it's easy to use for children and adults, it's worth the buy if your a camping family or just want to grab something to look at something in a microscopic view,If I needed another one I'd buy another one.

This Hermit Shell case is perfect for protecting your Carson Microscopes! It is actually big enough for the larger Carson Microflip Microscope as well as one other smaller microscope. I have the 100x-250x microscope and a blue 20x-100x microscope stored in the case with no issues. It can also house the slides and phone clip for the microscopes as well. I highly suggest this to protect and carry your Carson microscopes!

This works to fit the microscope and camera adapter snugly. But they should improve the other side with a zipper or something to prevent those contents from moving around. For example, if I put a small object like the carabiner clip in the pocket, it falls out onto the other side with the microscope. Other than that, this hardshell case protects the microsope well.
