I got this out of curiosity and the product is very nice. The hexagonal design and leather covering is very attractive and the magnet is strong. However, I have found that the grip depends on the material the hat is made of. Some hats are made of stiff polyester and aren't held well. I would recommend this product though I don't use mine often.

I'm using this to clip my straw hat to my bag, so I don't forget it anywhere or let it blow away. Great for taking to the farmer's market! The magnets are really sturdy, and the clip is stylish too! I've wanted on of these hat clips for so long, and I'm glad I got this one. It hasn't ruined any of my hats, and seems to work great. If that changes I'll update!Appearance wise, it's just as pictures and it came in a nice, like really nice box! Great gift idea for your hat wearing friends!

This is a great, strong hat clip as long as the magnets are touching one another. However, it wasn’t strong enough to hold my floppy hat in the wind.I had it holding my ball cap through the open part in the back and it worked great, but when I put my floppy straw hat in between the magnets, the clip was not strong enough to hold it. It was windy- but not tornado-like or anything- and my hat went flying.So, as long as your hat allows the magnets to touch, this hat clip is awesome. Otherwise, I wouldn’t trust it.For the price, it’s a hard pass.

Strong magnetic hat clip. It can be clipped on the bag strap or suitcase for easy carrying. But it is too heavy and too expensive.

Most of the time when I wear a hat it stays on my head, but there are many instances where I am holding my hat. We go to festivals in the summer and it is hot. When we are under a tent or in a building, I take off my hat and hold it. Some hats you can scrunch and fit in a bag or backpack but that doesn’t work with all of them. In the winter I’ve gone into a restaurant and there is nowhere to put my hat.TOPTOTE to the rescue.The top hexagonal is a carabiner that clips to your bag. It’s nicer looking than a typical carabiner. The leather hexagonal is thick with two powerful magnets inside. I tried it with three of my hats. It holds all of them securely including my felt hat (my thickest hat), my straw hat, and my microfiber hat. It comes with a tag that says “TOPTOTE is a hat holder. Not a hat lock. Please be careful when in use.” I guess it could fall off if you are rough with it. But in most instances these powerful magnets will securely hold your hat without damage. It appears to be very sturdy.TOPTOTE is artfully designed. The hexagonal theme is throughout the item, from the carabiner, to the leather clip shape and embossing.It would make a nice gift as it is carefully wrapped in a nice gift box.

This clip is honestly fantastic, and super sturdy. The materials used are really nice quality, and look high end. There’s plenty attention to detail in the design. The clip is pretty heavy, but the magnets are super strong, and I imagine a good part of the weight. Your hat should definitely stay put, and the added weight keeps it from flying around on a windy day. I took this on my beach vacation, and it was awesome to know my beach hat wasn’t going anywhere when not being worn. I had always just held my beach hat in my hands when walking on windier days, since they can be too large for a beach bag, or may be crushed. Although, the price may seem high to some, you really do get what you pay for here. If this accessory could be of use to you, I’d say it’s totally worth it. Great performing product, that looks nice, and is super useful.
