They work just like the brand name, but with a more reasonable price. I am using the provided drill bit, and a hammer drill to make the holes. I try to avoid wiggling the drill to keep the holes as tight as possible. Then I use an impact driver to insert the bolts. The hole can be VERY tight, so my guess is that using a regular driver may be a bit hard.

Chenango Supply 1/4 x 2-1/4" Hex Head Concrete Screw Anchor. 100 pieces (1/4 x 2-1/4")These concrete screws are fine quality -- nearly identical and as good as the Tapcon brand. The tip will drill into softer mortar, but into cinder block or harder material, drill a pilot hole with a hammer drill using a 3/16" masonry bit. Install them with an impact driver using a 5/16" socket. The only negative is that they have a slot head meant for a flat-head screw driver. While you can use a flat-head bit with an impact driver, it's a bit tricky to keep it centered, compared to either a T25 Torx or Phillips #3. The KwikTap concrete screws for example, have a Phillips #3 head -- so I like those better.

They do the job very well. No problems. Good quality tapcons. Bought twice already. Will buy again.

Awesome. I was expecting a harder time, but the drill bit and screws worked great.
