I don't know if this vendor is creating new listings to avoid the original feedback warning that this is too tight or if multiple vendors are selling the same product. This 50-pin IDC connector fits so tight you cannot get it out without destroying it or the male housing. I was using this on a 40 year old circuit board and I almost destroyed the connector on it too. The connector starts off feeling o.k. then it hits the last 1/8" and pushes in with a pop. From there you cannot get it out. I tried pushing through the alignment slot, rocking, pulling straight out...you name it. The lock bar broke and the ribbon ripped out and I had to take snippers and cut the housing into 4 parts and then wedge each piece out taking care not to destroy the pins on the circuit board. Pictures are attached of the disaster. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the assembly is well made and nice components, they just aren't made correctly (incorrect conversion dims?).I don't know if the housing is too wide or too long.I have used hundreds of IDC cables in PC's and Slot Machines and never have I seen one this tight.If you are going to use this in an application where you will NEVER have to remove the connector, go for it, you have been warned. If you care about what you are plugging it in to for get it. WALK AWAY.

This is a replacement Wire Ribbon for Irritrol/Toro 9 Zone Sprinkler Controller which is no longer made, like many things we Boomers are used too. Irritrol makes a 6 zone Controller now.The red Red colored Wire is on opposite side - no big deal.My Local Electrical Repair Shop Charged me $120.00 to cut off one end of the ribbon and connect it to circuit board after removing different type clip and soldering wires to pins then covering with silicone.
