These are great. I drilled holes in a tractor bucket and use these to fasten things. They stay out in the rain and look like new. Vibrations might cause them to back out of their threads. Put on some thread lock or teflon tape if you plan to use them where vibrations are a concern.

We purchased the 2 pk of 3/8" Shackles, they are well made, w/no rough edges as some cast items are, robust in weight & thickness & if they are truly SS & not a SS Alloy so they don't rust I'd say they are well worth the $. They are inexpensive compared to some I've seen that were not Stainless Steel. Could be useful in many ways. Best, PawPaw C

These are well made and of high quality. I found that if I used pliers to tighten the bolt that I could Almost get an additional full turn. The pair was cheaper than a single was from a certain blue big box hardware store. If you by the 100’ or 150’ Young Marine anchor rope, you will want to add these shackles as that rope comes with a tiny 1/4” shackle which is too small to be of any use.

Used on each end of anchor lead chain.I used a piece of stainless steel wire to secure the pins on the shackles.

These seem like very useful, well made anchor shackles. They are finished nicely and have a very clean stainless steel look.
