This listing is a brand new Chain Roller Tensioner Kit (everything shown in picture). It is necessary for all serious riders.
It ensures proper chain tension and alignment. It prevents the chain derailment, excess wearing of the sprocket and prolongs chain's life.
If you don't have the proper chain tension, the chain will get lose or break. Eventually, it will damage the side cover and the stator plate.

In a nutshell the the tensioner body is solid, the spring is adequate, the roller is dogs***. Bottom line is don't get this expecting to easily upgrade the roller. The roller spindle arm is 12mm diameter. Standard rollers are 10mm center diameter.The GOOD NEWS is this is an easy bolt-on mod for a Baja DB30/Coleman CT100U. Some have mentioned that the mounting hole is very large (15mm). However, The existing spacers on the original chain guide work perfect for mounting this using the original 8m- 1.25 X 70mm bolt. If the extra bolt sticking out makes you nervous you can get away with a 50mm.The BAD NEWS is the roller is just plastic with no bearings, and not very wide. I greased the inside and wrapped the center in duct tape and it stayed intact, so that wear is not an issue. But after a test run the inside roller edge already shows wear. My pics actually show a before and after a half-mile ride. Thus I put a large washer on the inside of the spindle as a safety stop-gap, but it makes me nervous. The WORSE NEWS is that the roller arm/spindle is 12mm diameter. The OEM roller and standard replacement rollers (even from this company!) have10mm holes (sometimes 8). I could not find a 12mm one. You can find bearing cassettes with 12mm center diameter if you want to fabricate something. But what a PITA. I recommend finding a chain tensioner with a 10mm spindle.

this product is not heavy duty at all, the product has a very low tension to the spring and shaft is not welded to the arm, just press fit, I would definitely recommend spending 2 to 3$ more for a better quality tensioner since this one is not so great.Since the shaft is not welded, it will let go after time and can damage the bike if the chain falls off.spend the extra dollars and get yourself a good brand tensioner.i ended up putting back the old one but kept the spring since mine was broken.

Great product! It works great! I installed it on my db30 doodlebug mini bike so I can constantly have tension while riding.Mini bikes are notorious for stretching and throwing chains. Ever since I have installed this, I haven't thrown a chain.You can notice when the chain starts to get a little too stretched and loose because the tensioner starts to engage a lot more often. At that point, just install a new chain and you won't run into any issues while on the trails!My only recommendation for an improvement for the next generation of this product, upgrade the spring to a stronger, heavier duty spring and to include a roller with bearings to reduce noise of tensioner.

This Product is complete garbage... This product did not come with the included spring. Very disappointed in that. The wheel is very poor plastic. The only thing good was what the wheel actually goes on too.....

Seems well made but it would be nice if they would include a sleeve to fit in the 15mm mounting area with a 3/8" or 10mm hole for a mounting bolt. Now I have to find or make something to do this.

I actually bought this for parts. I needes the spring ofr my other chain tensioner. This one seemed to look stronger than my original. I wouldve put it on but it was not the correct fit. Other than that I would highly recommend for any project you are doing.
