I didn't have high expectations when ordering, but this jewelry case by Hibiana is stunning. It is meticulously put together, with everything needed to catalogue special memories associated with each piece, from card stock and bags in 2 different sizes, to the silver pen that actually writes very well on the cardstock provided. The binder itself is beautifully made, with a soft, high-quality faux leather cover, a lovely interior liner, and heavy duty hardware that feels like it will stand up to even the heaviest jewelry collection. Even the wrap around zipper is good quality and feels as though it will withstand anything thrown at it. The cardstock, pen and ziploc type bags even come in a canvas bag of their own, and the entire package is sent in a good quality cardboard gift box - all you need is wrapping paper (and maybe a piece of jewelry?) to make this a wonderful gift for someone you love.I'm looking forward to moving as much of my collection as I can into this jewelry case, as I think it will make it easier to see what I have when getting ready, AND I believe it will do more to protect my sterling silver pieces than my current jewelry box does.I will absolutely buy from Hibiana again. I think I'd like additional binders so I can keep earrings and rings in their own binders, and bracelets, pendants & necklaces/chains in another. The only drawbacks I can see to this system is that it could become heavy when filled, depending on taste in jewelry, and it won't accommodate a large collection of chunky bracelets (think large/thick bangles, etc). Neither of those drawbacks take away from this system though. It's incredibly well thought out and executed - I'll likely buy at least one more for myself! And, since I have a large collection, ranging from delicate to very chunky pieces, I'll be exploring the Hibiana brand further, in hopes that they've developed another equally well executed product that works well for larger quantities of chunkier jewelry!

Overall, I like this HIbana Home Edition Jewelry Case a lot. It looks and feels premium, and makes organizing my jewelry much easier than my stand-alone jewelry armoire. There are plenty of slots for small and large jewelry items, and even the smaller ones do a great job of holding my larger earrings and amulets. Cardboard cards give each pocket structure so that flipping pages is easier, and the cards and included pen provide a way to label the items if desired. And the pouches are thick and close snugly, though they are a bit tricky to close at times; it's important to listen for the "click" the closure makes when seated properly or they might still be open even when they appear to be shut. The system isn't perfect, though, and two limitations make it impossible for me to completely replace my other jewelry organization.First, earrings that don't free-moving hooks are in danger of being damaged in the binder, since there's no give within the jewelry and the compactness of the binder pouches in depth puts pressure on them and limits movement of the hooks. The pouches themselves won't damage the earrings, but placing something on top of the binder accidentally or having something compress the earrings in a travel bag might cause them to become deformed.Second, I don't see a way to keep my fine chain necklaces from becoming self-tangled in these pouches, which means I need to keep them hung elsewhere. While it's disappointing that I can't completely replace my other system, this is still an excellent system that will make finding most of my jewelry far easier than before.
