Perfect for application. I used this with a short 180 degree angle piece to move and change the angle of hand shower mounted on shower head location. Worked perfectly.

Same threads on both ends - not NPT on one end and G 1/2 on the other as advertised in the pictures. I measured threads on both ends with calipers and both are NPT. The lip at the end of the threads allows a seal with a rubber washer at the shower head, so it works for my purposes.

the pipe has two opposing flat surfaces milled into the pipe. An adjustable wrench is used making installation very easy. No need to worry about marring/ gouging or scratching the pipe during installation.
