Works excellent. Chill your meat mix, keep a deep bowl of ice water and chill your tool before every balling operation. I dip, squeeze, eject, put baller in ice water, squeeze the balls to compress slightly then repeat. I suppose if you had two of these you could speed it up by not firming them up but I like my balls firm.

I should have paid attention to this review by "Susan," which is right on: "Flimsy and hard on your hands! When pressed together, the two sides do not meet so you have to press by holding the ball section. Easier to do with my hands!" I just received this and decided to make Polish cabbage rolls. This item is ridiculous. I ended up using my hands as the scissor handles hurt my hands as they are so thin and sharp. The balls don't release either. Trash. Waste of money, and luckily, not much money. I would return it if it weren't such a pain. Mrs. Paul T.

Perfect for so many uses! Not just limited to meatballs! I've used it to make bath bombs and other craft projects! Very sturdy! Excellent product! A++++

Bought it to make cake pops. They were too big and fell apart when I tried to dip them but I am new to cake pops so it might have been my fault. Handle was very thin so I preferred to close them close to the ball instead. Joint slips sideways a little. You get what you pay for.

I have a bath and body business and was looking for a good meat baller to use for making bath bombs! I was hoping this would be great for that. I don't make meatballs with it, so, for that, I am unsure. It was a HUGE disappointment :(Over all I am very disappointed with this purchase. Straight out of the package, I knew there was issues. The ball doesn't match up, the steel is VERY thin, the ball feels like it is going to fall off of the handles at any moment. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews before purchasing.I hope that you fine this review helpful and anyone looking to use it for this purpose decides to go somewhere else. It is worth a few extra dollars to get a better quality meat baller, believe me!Have a great day everyone.

Want perfect meatballs, this is the kitchen gadget for you. Was surprised that I did not have use oil. Guess the small hole in the middle of the bowl keeps the meat from sticking.

If you are too lazy to ball up meat by hand, and you want meatballs made with YOUR choice of meat, then this is the product for you! It's cheaply made, but effective, And at $8, if it lasts you even a year, who cares? Just get another one. Makes perfect sized meatballs.

My old meat baller broke after many years of service. I was glad to find this one on Amazon, and at an excellent price. It does a great job, and makes the perfect size meatball, neither too big or too small. Highly recommended.
