My Pest Control guy recommended this to me after he did his inspection and remediation of the mouse problem we had. After he placed some in the hole where the AC hose goes into the home and then filled with putty or silicone, he handed me a bit to use if needed.I immediately ordered this and the size is great for use in a small home and the quality is just as good as what he uses everyday at company. It’s easy to manipulate with your hands and some pliers if you want to wind it up tighter for small spaces. The amount you get for your money gave me peace of mind because everything is so expensive these days, like everyone, I want to get the best bang for my buck.I was fixing drywall in my garage and decided to use most of the spool to tuck under the drywall where the gypsum board meets the cement. By doing that, any mice or small critters would have to chew into the copper and basically it tastes like they are biting into a battery to them. It’s also great for stuffing into the hollow part of a garage door seal. I don’t know if I’d recommend stuffing into the entirety of the seal, but the first several inches of each side will deter a mouse or critter from chewing through the ends where the seal meets the seal on the side of the garage door frame.

I have a problem with slugs and snails getting into my flower pots and eating my plants. I read about copper to repel them. Apparently they do not like copper and also the rough texture of the mesh. I have not seen any evidence of snails or slugs in any of the pots I put the mesh wire into. I used landscape fabric pins to hold it down and made a circle around the inside perimeter of the pots. I consider it a good investment since the copper should last for years.

I was given some advice from my Orkin man to purchase a roll of copper mesh to stuff under my siding. This eliminates small critters from entering your home and living in your attic. These critters can squeeze through the tiniest of cracks and holes unless you seal them up with this mesh. Simply take a footlong piece at a time, fold over a few time and stuff it into the crack/hole until its tight and packed. The critters can't bite through the copper like they can through the normal insulation! This copper mesh is difficult to find at local stores so I purchased on line. Certainly worth the money!

While this LOOKS like copper and is COLORED like copper, it is highly doubtful that it is pure copper as advertised. The third picture I posted is a scouring pad from Chorboy. It IS copper and most definitely looks and feels like copper as opposed to this product. I highly recommend going with something else if you need pure copper mesh. Too bad I'm past the return window.

The product is very thin and loose, but easy to use. When you stretch it out and coil it around and get creative, it will fill holes. The more you use, the sturdier it is. I cut it with a scissors, however do this outside or over something. It leaves little 'copper' pieces. Outside in the rocks = who cares. On your kitchen island and floor = no bueno. I purchased 50 ft of it and i'm glad I did. I can see this being used for other small gaps around the yard/house.I used it to fill the drainage blocks at the bottom of my cinder block fence. I live in AZ and need water to drain out, AND to keep the critters out as well. I'm more worried about snakes. Time will tell. I only gave it a 4 star rating because I don't know how it will work yet. It blends into my 'terra cotta' color walls but still look like a brassy Christmas Garland ;) Stuffing it into holes to block, works great. I just hope it holds up to water and danger noodles ;)
