for the price it not bad at all easy to use works good works with a good thick oil such as 85/140 wight or thinner the small thin tube provided for the inlet side doesn't has much suction butt if you add a little larger tube then u have a better suction power before i had used on my chevy suv i head tested it out first to see what it can do i had hook it up to a 12 volt battery and transfer one heavy grade oil from one container to another and it work .. a little slow at first butt work good then

Was easy to assemble and works great! Ive changed the oil in all my equipment quickly without any mess! The worse thing about it is the leads to hook up the power/battery should be longer.

Followed the instructions and started pumping, about a minute in while it was pumping I seen sparks inside and died.

I did not expect a professional machine for $20.00 but I did have the expectation that it would move a couple gallons of lightweight hydraulic fluid. Alas, my hopes were dashed when just over 5 minutes into my project I heard a "crack" and the motor pitch changed. So, I took the cover off to see what was inside. The motor has a metal output gear that drives a plastic gear pressed onto the metal shaft of the pump. The plastic teeth that engage the metal pump drive shaft all sheared off so the motor still spins the gear but the gear no longer turns the pump. So it does nothing but spin and hum. So, if you can complete your project in 3 minutes or less this may be for you - otherwise spend more money on a better pump elsewhere.

This is the most clever way to do an oil change. I have a Mercedes ML350 diesel, which has the oil filter up on top just under the hood. This pump allowed me to complete the entire job without lifting the vehicle or even getting a drop of oil on my hand. It works great! Only suggestion would be to make it more robust with a dedicated storage case. It appears a bit flimsy, so not sure how long it will last.

First off: if you're a professional mechanic, please skip this and do the change properly. That being said, this is a great tool for backyard mechanics without shop space. Both my vehicles were long overdue for an oil change, but temperatures lately have been far too cold. I hate overspending on services that I can easily perform on my own, so I thought - why not try one of these pumps?Thankfully, the day after receiving the pump, the temperatures hit right at freezing (the lowest temp the pump is rated to work at.)So, I started with our Caravan with the 3.6L first. I ran the vehicle long enough to warm the oil a bit, inserted the suction hose down the dipstick tube and turned on the pump. After about 20 seconds, the oil reached the pump and everything was going great. With a bit of warm oil in the suction tube, I was able to move it up and down a bit until I could feel it hit the bottom of the oil pan. You can easily tell if the tube is in oil, as the sound of the pump changes, and I ran it until I could no longer find oil. It was probably 95% of the oil, so good enough. The 3.6L engine has a cartridge style filter accessible from the top, so change that, refill, done. The second vehicle is an old chevy that hasn't had a a change in a LONG time. I figured, the first vehicle was easy, so let's get the oil done on this one as well. I warmed up the vehicle a bit, inserted the suction line and started pumping. After about 30 seconds, the sludge made its way up the tube, into the pump, and I was rewarded with a display of nastiness out the discharge line. After running for a few minutes, I had as much oil out as I could find and shut the pump down. It wasn't all of it, but a 90% change is better than nothing. Unfortunately, the filter is where I wasn't going, so that will get done next month - for now, I just wanted to remove the worst of the old garbage and get fresh stuff in to clean out the engine. If you are the type that likes to get as close to 100% of the old oil out as possible, drain it properly. However, this pump method is clean enough that you can do it on the street without raising eyebrows. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Consider these disposable for a one or two time use. They do the job but at the price and the fact that they aren't the greatest quality you cannot expect them to last for years and use them over and over again. For the price though using it twice a year is a fair deal in my opinion and will continue to buy and use it
