This pouch is the perfect size to contain a DSMB and reel. That is what I bought it for. I have not yet used it because I have not yet figured out how to mount it where I could deploy the DSMB from the pouch with one hand. It really requires two hands to remove the DSMB from the pouch. It had been my intention to use this in the area just below my tank (I dive a BPWing BCD). It has been my desire to streamline my kit as much as possible. I am thinking now that what I need to do is come up with a way to clip this to the Backplate so that the pouch can be removed brought around to where I can see what I am doing and use both hands to remove deploy the DSMB. Short version, this pouch is adequate for this purpose but you need to think about where you are going to mount it... I will have probably worked this out before my next dive trip.

Image depicts a SMB in a net package. Only a net package was delivered. Didn't need a net package, needed an SMB. In fairness to the seller, the description does not list a SMB. I suggest they update their image.
